Instructions
The top is made of 2 identical cups, each with 6 rows.
● Size XS (PP): start with 14 ch
● Size S (P): start with 16 ch
● Size M (M): start with 18 ch
● Size L (G): start with 20 ch
● Size XL (GG): start with 22 ch
Cup:
With a 3 mm hook, ch 16, turn, and starting from the 3rd ch from the hook, work dc across. In the last stitch, work 5 dc in the same stitch. Continue working dc along the opposite side of the foundation chain until the end. This first row of the cup will have 33 dc.
Turn your work, make dc, and in the 3rd stitch of the previous 5 dc group, work another 5 dc in the same stitch. Continue working dc until the end. Repeat this pattern until you complete the required number of rows for the selected size.
Repeat the same process for the second cup.
Joining the cups:
After completing both cups, ch 77 and join with a sl st to the corner of the other cup, forming the back of the top. Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Ruffle (body of the top):
Row 1: Starting at the bottom of one cup, work 2 dc in each stitch across the cup; then work 1 dc in each ch; and again 2 dc in each stitch across the second cup. You should have a total of 133 dc.
Row 2: Increase row: 2 dc in each stitch across.
Rows 3 - 19: Work 1 dc in each stitch across.
Ties:
Make a chain of 140 cm and weave it through the first row of the body of the top.
Holding 2 strands together, use a 4 mm hook to make a 40 cm chain tie at the top of each cup. Fasten off and cut the yarn.
