Materials

• Fitonê yarn by Círculo – 12 (14, 16, 17, 19, 21) skeins, Color 6274 (Choque).

• Círculo crochet hook, size H/8 (5.0 mm).

• One zipper, 7 (7½, 8, 8¼, 8¾, 9) in / (18 (19, 20, 21, 22, 23) cm) long, matching the yarn color.

• Pattern paper.


Stitch Guide and Abbreviations

The abbreviations used throughout the pattern are shown in parentheses.

• st(s) – stitch(es)

• sl st – slip stitch

• sc – single crochet

• dc – double crochet


Slip stitch (sl st): Insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, then pull the loop directly through the loop on the hook.


Single crochet (sc): Insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on the hook.

Double crochet (dc): Yarn over, insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through the remaining 2 loops.


Pattern Stitch: Work following the stitch chart.


Gauge

15 sts × 9 rows = 4 × 4 in (10 × 10 cm) in Pattern Stitch using a size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook.


Instructions

Skirt

Front and Back (worked together)


With Fitonê yarn, Color Choque, and a size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook, ch 120 (120, 135, 150, 180, 195), join with a sl st to form a ring, being careful not to twist the foundation chain.

Work in Pattern Stitch following the chart, repeating from to a total of 8 (8, 9, 10, 12, 13) times around.


When piece measures 13.75 (14.25, 14.5, 15, 15.25, 16.75) in / 35 (36, 37, 38, 39, 40) cm from the beginning, work 8 (9, 9, 9, 8, 8) dc into each group of 10 dc of the Pattern Stitch.

When piece measures 15.75 (16.25, 16.5, 17, 17.25, 17.75) in / 40 (41, 42, 43, 44, 45) cm from the beginning, fasten off.


Bodice

Front and Back (worked together)

With Fitonê yarn, Color Choque, and a size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook, ch 111 (126, 141, 156, 171, 186), ch 3 for the turning chain, and work in Pattern Stitch following the chart.

Begin and end the Pattern Stitch with 8 dc.

When the piece measures 7.75 (8.25, 8.75, 9, 9.5, 9.75) in / 20 (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) cm from the beginning, work only across the first 28 (32, 35, 39, 43, 47) sts for the right back section, leaving the remaining stitches unworked.


Neck Shaping

At the right edge, decrease at the beginning of each row as follows:

XS: 4 sts, 3 sts, 2 sts, and 1 st 5 times.

S: 4 sts, 4 sts, 3 sts, and 1 st 6 times.

M: 4 sts, 3 sts, 3 sts, and 2 sts 5 times.

L: 5 sts, 4 sts, 3 sts, and 2 sts 5 times.

XL: 6 sts, 5 sts, 4 sts, and 2 sts 5 times.

2XL: 6 sts, 6 sts, 4 sts, and 2 sts 6 times.


Armhole Shaping

At the left edge, decrease at the beginning of each row as follows:

XS: 4 sts, 2 sts, and 1 st twice.

S: 4 sts, 2 sts, and 1 st twice.

M: 4 sts, 2 sts, and 1 st 3 times.

L: 4 sts, 3 sts, and 1 st 3 times.

XL: 4 sts, 3 sts, and 1 st 4 times.

2XL: 4 sts, 3 sts, and 1 st 4 times.


When the piece measures 13.75 (14.5, 15.75, 16.5, 17.25, 18.5) in / 35 (37, 40, 42, 44, 47) cm from the beginning, fasten off.

Rejoin the yarn to the reserved 28 (32, 35, 39, 43, 47) sts at the opposite end of the piece and work in the opposite direction, following the schematic.

Finishing Sew the shoulder seam.

With Fitonê yarn, Color Choque, and a size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook, work one row of dc evenly along both bodice edges. Fasten off.

Fold the work to the wrong side along the dotted lines shown on the schematic.

Sew the zipper to the dc edging.

With Fitonê yarn and a size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook, work one round of sc evenly around the neckline. Fasten off.

Holding 8 strands of Fitonê yarn together, use a large-eyed needle to make a chain long enough to go all the way around the armhole. Join the ends to form a ring.

Make another chain long enough to go all the way around the lower edge of the bodice and join the ends to form a ring.

Make one more chain long enough to go all the way around the skirt waistline and join the ends to form a ring.

Sew each chain in place, overlapping the ends by 2 sts.

With Fitonê yarn and a size H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook, work one round of sc evenly around the foundation edge of the skirt. Fasten off.

Sew the bodice to the skirt over a 2 in (5 cm) section, positioning 1 in (2.5 cm) on each side of the zipper
