Size: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL)

Materials:

3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5) skeins of Charme yarn – Color 2856 (Deep Indigo);

Circular knitting needles size US 2.5 (3.0 mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm);

Crochet hook size C-2 (2.5 mm);

1 gold shank button, 1 in (2.5 cm) diameter.

Gauge:

19 sts x 28 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch using US 4 (3.5 mm) needles.

44 sts x 32 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in K1, P1 Rib using US 2.5 (3.0 mm) needles..

Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

K1, P1 Rib: K1, p1.

Stockinette Stitch: Knit on RS rows, purl on WS rows.

Chain: ch.

Pattern uses US crochet terms.

Instructions:

Front and Back:

Front and back are worked alike.

Using US 4 (3.5 mm) needles, cast on 72 (80, 89, 99, 108, 118) sts and work 2 rows in K1, P1 Rib. Then continue in Stockinette Stitch.

When piece measures 12.25 (12.5, 13, 13.5, 13.75, 14.25) in / 31 (32, 33, 34, 35, 36) cm from cast-on edge, work 2 rows in K1, P1 Rib and bind off.

Straps:

Make 2 identical straps.

Using US 2.5 (3.0 mm) needles, cast on 44 sts and work in K1, P1 Rib.

When strap measures 19.75 (20, 20.75, 21.25, 21.75, 22.5) in / 50 (51, 53, 54, 55, 57) cm from cast-on edge, bind off.

Finishing:

Sew side seams. At the same time, sew the straps between the front and back pieces at the positions indicated by the red dots on the schematic.

Gather the ends of the straps.

Sew the button to the end of one strap. On the other strap, use the crochet hook to make a chain of 10 ch to create a button loop.

Wear the top as shown in the photo.
