Materials:

  • 1 skein of Amigurumi yarn each – Colors: #3528 (Carmine), #5076 (Ivy), #7625 (Chestnut), #3148 (Macadamia), #5767 (Brazilian Green) & #8001 (White); 

  • Amigurumi yarn scraps – Color: #3131 (Bubble Gum);

  • Crochet hook – 2.5 mm; 

  • Safety eyes (12 mm) – Green;  

  • Tapestry needle; 

  • Polyester stuffing; 

  • Wooden beads;

  • Stitch marker;

  • Blush (optional);

Execution


Arms (2) 

With Amigurumi yarn #3148 (Macadamia)

R1: 6 sc inside of a magic ring

R2: 1 sc, 1 inc to eor = 9 sc

Note: pm on first sc  

R3 to R17 (15 rounds): 9 sc 

Stuff halfway up.

Fold in half and close the sides with 4 sc. 

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing. 

Make the other arm the same way.

 

Legs (2) 

Start with Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White)

Ch 6, start from the 2nd ch from the hook:

R1: 1 inc, 3 sc, 5 sc in the last ch, on the other side of the foundation ch: 3 sc, 1 inc = 15 sc

R2: 2 inc, 4 sc, 3 inc, 5 sc, 1 inc = 21 sc 

R3 & R4: 21 sc 

R5: 8 sc, 3 dec, 7 sc = 18 sc 

R6: 6 sc, 3 dec, 6 sc = 15 sc 

Stuff it.

R7: 1 dec, 1 sc to eor = 10 sc 

R8 & R9: 10 sc 

We will now work with color changes every 2 rounds.

Body 

Start with Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White)

Join the legs:

R1: Make 5 sc to close the first leg, ch 2, 5 sc to close the second leg. = 12 sts

R2: 12 sc in the front loops only, 12 sc in the back loops only = 24 sc.

Note: Be careful to insert the hook into only one loop of each single crochet.

R3 to R7 (5 rounds): 24 sc 

Change to Amigurumi yarn #3148 (Macadamia) 

R8 to R11 (4 rounds): 24 sc 

R12: 2 sc, 1 dec to eor = 18 sc 

R13 & R14: 18 sc 

R15: 1 sc, 1 dec to eor = 12 sc 

R16 & R17: 12 sc 

Stuff it.

R18: 1 dec, 8 sc, 1 dec = 10 sc 

R19 to R27 (9 rounds): 10 sc

Head 

With Amigurumi yarn #3148 (Macadamia)

R1: 6 sc inside of a magic ring

R2: 6 inc = 12 sc

R3: 1 sc, 1 inc to eor = 18 sc 

R4: 2 sc, 1 inc to eor = 24 sc

R5: 3 sc, 1 inc to eor = 30 sc  

R6: 4 sc, 1 inc to eor = 36 sc

R8: 6 sc, 1 inc to eor = 48 sc

R9: 7 sc, 1 inc to eor = 54 sc

Insert the safety eyes between rounds 15 & 16, 10 stitches apart, centered between the cheek increases. 

With Amigurumi yarn #7625 (Chestnut), embroider the eyelashes and the eyebrows.

With Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White), embroider the eye detail.

R22: 11 sc, 4 dec, 12 sc, 4 dec, 23 sc = 54 sc 

R23: 54 sc

R24: 7 sc, 1 dec to eor = 48 sc   

R25: 6 sc, 1 dec to eor = 42 sc

R26: 5 sc, 1 dec to eor = 36 sc 

R27: 18 dec = 18 sc

R28: 1 sc, 1 dec to eor = 12 sc 

Stuff it.

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing. 

Position and fit the neck and head up to R20 of the body. 

Sew firmly, and stuff more if necessary. 

Using Amigurumi yarn #3148 (Macadamia), embroider the nose on rounds 17 & 18, 4 stitches wide.  

With Amigurumi yarn #3131 (Bubble Gum), embroider the mouth.

Apply blush to the cheeks (optional).

Sew the arms to the sides of the body between R14 & R15.

 

Ears (2)

With Amigurumi yarn #3148 (Macadamia)

R1: 6 sc inside of a magic ring

R2: 6 sc

Note: pm on first sc 

R3: 1 sc, 1 inc to eor = 9 sc 

R4 & R5: 9 sc 

R6: 2 sc, 1 inc to eor = 12 sc 

R7 & R8: 12 sc 

R9: 3 sc, 1 inc to eor = 15 sc 

R10: 15 sc

R11: 4 sc, 1 inc to eor = 18 sc 

R12: 18 sc

R13: 5 sc, 1 inc to eor = 21 sc

Fold in half so they form elf-shaped ears, and secure in this shape with sc. 

Sew each ear between R14 & R15, one on each side, about 4 to 5 stitches away from the eyes.  

 

Shoes (2) 

With Amigurumi yarn #5767 (Brazilian Green)

Ch 7, start in the 2nd ch from the hook:

R1: 1 inc, 4 sc, 5 sc in the last ch, on the other side of the foundation ch: 4 sc, 1 inc = 17 sc

R2: 2 inc, 4 sc, 5 inc of hdc, 5 sc, 1 inc = 25 sc 

R3 to R5 (rounds) = 25 sc

R6: 1 dec, 7 sc, 5 dec of hdc, 6 sc = 19 sc 

R7: 1 dec, (2 sc, 1 dec) x4, 1 sc = 14 sc

R8 to R10 (3 rounds) = 14 sc 

Fasten off.

Make the other shoe the same way.

For the shoelaces: With Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White), make 50 ch and lace them through the shoes using the openings formed by the sc. 

Put the shoes on the feet and tie the laces.

 

Dress 

Start with Amigurumi yarn #3528 (Carmine)

Ch 19 + 5 ch for the button hole. 

R1: Skip the first 5 ch, work: 2 sc, 1 shell st, 3 sc, 1 shell st, 5 sc, 1 shell st, 3 sc, 1 shell st, 2 sc = 39 sts

From R1 to R4 work in back-and-forth rows, do not ch to turn. 

R2: 4 sc, half shell st, 7 sc, half shell st, 9 sc, half shell st, 7 sc, half shell st, 4 sc = 43 sts

R3: 7 sc (2 sc in the shell), ch 4, skip 9 sts from the base, 13 sc (1 sc in each shell), ch 4, skip 9 sts from the base, 6 sc (1 sc in the shell) = 34 sts.

Note: When skipping base stitches, counting begins in the “hole” at the center of the shell st. 

R4: 34 sc (make the last sc into the first sc of the round to close it)

From now on, work in rounds. 

R5: 1 sc, 1 inc to eor = 51 sc

R6 to R15 (10 rounds) = 51 sc

Change to Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White) 

R16: 1 sl st, 1 ch to eor

R17 – BLO: 1 sl st, 1 ch to eor

Fasten off.

 

Button 

With Amigurumi yarn #3528 (Carmine)

R1: 3 sc inside of a magic ring 

Fasten off and sew on the opposite side of the strap. 

 

Collar 

With Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White)

Insert the hook into the remaining loop of the chains from the first row. 

R1: 19 sc

R2: 1 sc, 1 ch to eor 

Fasten off.

 

Sleeves (2) 

Start with Amigurumi yarn #3528 (Carmine)

Insert the hook into the stitch at the armhole opening.

R1: 15 sc 

R2 to R6 (5 rounds) = 15 sc 

R7: (1 sc, 1 inc) x7, 1 sc = 22 sc 

R8 to R10 (3 rounds) = 22 sc 

Change to Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White) 

R11: 1 sl st, 1 ch to eor 

R12 – BLO: 1 sl st, 1 ch to eor 

Fasten off.

 

Hair 

With Amigurumi yarn #7625 (Chestnut)

Ch 18, start in the 2nd ch from the hook:

R1: 16 sc, 1 incT, on the other side of the foundation ch: 15 sc, 1 inc = 36 sc

Each base stitch will form one strand of hair. Proceed as follows: Working in the front loops only, ch 25, 23 hdc starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sl st in the next st. 

Continue this way for each stitch across the round.           

When finishing the first round, work the second round (in the remaining loops - BLO) making more strands: ch 30, and 28 hdc starting in the 2nd ch from the hook.

Fasten off.

Glue or sew the hair to the head.  

 

Hat 

Start with Amigurumi yarn #3528 (Carmine)

R1: 6 sc inside of a magic ring 

R2: 1 sc, 1 inc to eor = 9 sc

R7: 1 sl st, 1 ch to eor

Fasten off.

 

Hat Pom-Pom 

With Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White)

R1: 6 sc inside of a magic ring

R2: 6 inc = 12 sc

Note: pm on first sc 

R3: 1 sc, 1 inc to eor = 18 sc 

R4: 2 sc, 1 inc to eor = 24 sc

R5: 3 sc, 1 inc to eor = 30 sc 

R6 to R9 (4 rounds) = 30 sc 

R10: 3 sc, 1 dec to eor = 24 sc  

R11: 2 sc, 1 dec to eor = 18 sc

R12: 1 sc, 1 dec to eor = 12 sc

Stuff it.

R13: 6 dec = 6 sc 

Fasten off and close with a reverse magic ring, leaving a yarn tail for sewing.

Sew it to the top of the hat.

 

Bow

With Amigurumi yarn #5076 (Ivy)

Ch 19, start in the 2nd ch from the hook:

R1: 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 2 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st

On the chain loops on the opposite side, repeat the same stitches.

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing. 

Sew both ends of the bow body together at the center to form the bow shape. 

Work the bow tails:

Ch 19, start in the 2nd ch from the hook:

R1: 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 2 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing.  

Sew the tail to the bow, then sew the bow onto the hat.
