MATERIALS


YARN:

La Seda by CĆ­rculo – Color 7350

5, (6, 7, 8), 9, and 10Ā balls.


NEEDLES:

CĆ­rculo circular knitting needles sizes US 7 / 4.5 mm and US 10 / 6 mm, 36 in / 90 cm cable length, or size needed to achieve gauge.

Cable needle.


NOTIONS:

• Tapestry needle

• Scissors

• Measuring tape

• Paper and pencil


GAUGE: 18 sts Ɨ 18 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in Seed Stitch using needles US 10 / 6 mm.

FRONT

Using smaller needles, CO 70 (78, 86, 94), 102, 110 sts.

Work 1Ɨ1 Rib (Chart 1) flat for 2 in / 5 cm.

On the last row of rib, inc 20 (22, 24, 26), 28, 30 sts evenly, you should have 90 (100, 110, 120), 130, 140 sts.

Switch to larger needles and work pattern as follows:

S size:Ā 20 (Chart 2), 10 (Chart 3), 12 (Chart 4), 10 (Chart 3), 12 (Chart 4), 10 (Chart 3), 20 (Chart 2)

Dec 1 st at each side every 2 rows 6 (7, 8, 9, 10), 11 times, you should have 76 (84, 92, 100), 108, 116 sts.


11.02 (11.42, 11.81, 12.20), 12.60, 12.99Ā in / 28 (29, 30, 31), 32, 33Ā cm, begin neckline shaping:

BO the central 22 (24, 26, 28), 30, 32Ā sts and work each side separately.


On neckline edge:

Sizes S–M: Bind off 8 stitches once, 5 stitches once, then 1 stitch five times.

Sizes L–3L:Ā Bind off 8 stitches twice, 5 stitches once, then 1 stitch six times.


BACK

Work as FRONT, without neckline shaping.

At 11 (11, 11.4, 11.4), 11.8, 11.8 in / 28 (28, 29, 29), 30, 30 cm, BO all stsĀ or place on hold for yoke joining.


SLEEVES

Using smaller needles, CO 44 (48, 52, 56), 60, 64 sts.

Work 1Ɨ1 Rib (Chart 1) flat for 2 in / 5 cm.

In the last row, inc 24 (26, 28, 30), 32, 34 sts evenly, you should have 68 (74, 80, 86), 92, 98 sts.


Switch to larger needles and work:

Chart 2:Ā 6 (6, 8, 8), 10, 10Ā sts

Chart 3:Ā 10 (10, 12, 12), 14, 14Ā sts Ɨ 2

Chart 4:Ā 36 (38, 40, 42), 44, 46Ā sts

Chart 2:Ā 6 (6, 8, 8), 10, 10Ā sts

Sleeve increases:

Work increases at both sides in Seed st every 4 rows Ɨ 6 (7, 8, 9), 10, 11Ā times, you should have 92 (102, 112, 122), 132, 142 sts.


17 ¼ (17 ½, 17 ¾, 18), 18 ¼, 18 ½ in / 44 (44.5, 45, 46), 46.5, 47 cm, begin armhole shaping:

Dec 1 st each side every 2 rows Ɨ 7 (8, 9, 10), 11, 12 times, you should have 78 (86, 94, 102), 110, 118 sts.


At 19 ¾ (20, 20 ¼, 20 ½), 20 ¾, 21 in / 50 (51, 51.5, 52), 53, 54 cm, BO all sts.


With tapestry needle, make 4 pleats of 2 in / 5 cm each, adjusting final width to approx. 11 (12, 13, 14, 15, 16 in)Ā / 28 (30, 33, 35, 38, 40Ā cm).


Make second sleeve.


ASSEMBLY & FINISHING

Use tapestry needle and join front, back, and sleeves at armholes for 2 ½ in / 6 cm.

Sew sleeve seams (17 ½ in / 44 cm) and body sides (10 ¼ in / 26 cm).


YOKE

With larger needles, pick up sts evenly around upper edges of Front, Back, and Sleeves, you should have 160 (176, 192, 208), 224, 240 sts.

Work in the round following Chart 5Ā (10 motifs), repeating rows 1–20.


At row 20, BO 6 (7, 8, 9), 10, 11Ā sts evenly, you should have 84 (99, 112, 125), 138, 151 sts.


Switch to smaller needles and work 1Ɨ1 Rib in the round (Chart 6)Ā for 4 in / 10 cm.


BO loosely, leaving a tail.

Fold collar to the WS 2 in / 5 cm and use the tail to seam invisibly with basting sts.


FINISH

Weave in all ends, wet block, and lay flat to dry.
