·         1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein of Encanto - Color 6802 (Malva)

·         4 (5, 6, 6, 7, 8) skeins of Encanto Slim - Color 6802 (Malva)

·         1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2) skein of Encanto Slim - Color 1013 (Capim Dourado)

·         E-4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook

·         Fabric for lining

Abbreviations:

ch = Chain Stitch.

dc = Double Crochet (Yarn over, insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over again, pull through all loops.)

rnd = round

sc = Single Crochet (Insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again, pull through all loops.)

sl st = Slip Stitch (Insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, and pull through the loop on the hook.)

Fringe: Insert the hook into the indicated st, fold the yarn strand in half, yarn over, pull up a loop, then pull the yarn ends through the loop. Pull the ends to tighten (1 fringe). Repeat as many times as needed.

Pattern stitch: Follow the diagram.

Gauge: A 3.94″ (10 cm) square in pattern st following the diagram and using an E-4 (3.5 mm) hook = 19 sts x 8 rows.

Instructions

Front and Back

They are worked together. Start from the top of the piece. Using Encanto yarn, ch 152 (171, 190, 209, 228, 247), close in a ring with 1 sl st, and work pattern st following the diagram. Close each rnd with 1 sl st and start the next one with ch 3. At 23.5 (24, 24.5, 24.75, 25.25, 25.5) in / 60 (61, 62, 63, 64, 65) cm from the beginning, work 1 rnd of sc and fasten off.

Finishing

Work 1 rnd of sc all around the beginning of the piece then fasten off.

Straps

For the front strap, join the yarn to the point marked in red on the template, make a ch 15.75 (15.75, 15.75, 17.25, 17.25, 17.25) in / 40 (40, 40, 44, 44, 44) cm long, and join it to the other point marked in red. Work back along the ch with 1 row of sc and fasten off. Make the back strap the same way but measuring 11.75 (11.75, 11.75, 13, 13, 13) in / 30 (30, 30, 33, 33, 33) cm. While working the sc row of the back strap, join the front strap by working 1 sc through both straps at their center.

Fringe

Work 1 fringe in each dc of rnds 1 and 2, following the instructions. For each fringe, cut 4 Encanto Slim strands in color 6802 Malva and 1 in color 1013 Capim Dourado, each measuring 63 (63, 63, 64.5, 64.5, 64.5) in / 160 (160, 160, 164, 164, 164) cm.
