  Note: This dress is designed with a close-to-the-body fit and minimal ease. For a looser fit, especially at the sleeves, consider selecting a larger size.

 

Materials & Tools:

·         Yarn requirements: 6 (7, 8, 9, 10, 12) skeins of Anne yarn (500 m / 547 yd each). Color 8176 (Off-White)

Note: Yarn amounts are approximate and may vary depending on individual tension, motif placement, and adjustments made to match the templates.

·         Círculo 1.75 mm crochet hook

·         Círculo tapestry needle

·         2 buttons

·         5.51″ (14 cm) zipper

·         Knit fabric for lining

Instructions


Transfer the templates to the tracing paper to use as a reference when making the piece. Note the arrows in the measurement diagram indicating the direction of the work.

 

Motif

Use 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn. Start the motif by making a magic ring.

rnd 1: ch 3 (counts as first leg of dc2tog), dc2tog, *ch 3, dc2tog*, rep from * to * 6 more times, ch 3, 1 sl st to close rnd.

rnd 2: continue following diag 1. Work in the rnd.


Joining panel (B)

Use 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn.

row 1: ch 10, 1 tr.

From row 2 to 65, follow diag 3. Work back and forth.

rep this piece 3 more times and set them aside.

 

Top front dress

Make 2 vertical strips with 6 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7) motifs joined together with sl st. On the inner side of the motif strips, work the joining strip (A) following diag 2 and the rep st.

 

On the outer side of the motif strips, work pattern st (A) following diag 4, the rep st, and the template. Work back and forth.

Note: be sure to repeat diagram 4 until you obtain the bust and waist measurements according to the template for each size.

 

At 13.75 (14.25, 14.5, 14.5, 15, 15.25) in / 35 (36, 37, 37, 38, 39) cm from the beginning, fasten off and set the piece aside.

 

Top back dress

Use 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn. Make a foundation chain of 13.5 (15.25, 17.25, 19.25, 21.25, 23.25) in / 34 (39, 44, 49, 54, 59) cm, and through the ch, work pattern st (A) following diag 4, the rep sts, and the template. Work back and forth.

 

At 13.75 (14.25, 14.5, 14.5, 15, 15.25) in / 35 (36, 37, 37, 38, 39) cm from the beginning, fasten off and set the piece aside.

 

Dress skirt (bottom)

For all sizes: make 4 vertical strips with 10 motifs each and 4 joining panels (B).

For each size: Join the motif strips to the joining panel (B) by working the joining strip (A) following diag 2. Repeat diagram 2 (only those on the sides) until you obtain the waist measurement according to the template.

Then, join them at the waist of the piece with sl st. On the back, below the waist, work 2 rows of dc to attach the zipper in the center of the rows.

 

Border

To make the border, assemble a horizontal strip with 28 (31, 35, 38, 41, 45) motifs; join this motif strip to the dress by working the joining strip (A). Finish the bottom of the border with the joining strip (A). Fasten off and set aside.

 

Top sleeve

For all sizes: To make the sleeve, assemble 2 strips with 4 motifs each.

For each size: Joined together with the joining strip (A) diag 2. Repeat diagram 2 (only those on the sides) until you obtain the the sleeve contour measurement according to the template.

Work the rounded part of the sleeve in pattern st (A) following diag 4 and the rep st. Work back and forth.

 

Bottom Sleeve

For all sizes: Follow diag 5 from rnd 1 to 14. Work in the rnd and close each rnd as shown in the diag. Make the other sleeve the same and set them aside.

 

Assembly and finishing

Using the tapestry needle and Anne yarn, sew the shoulders 3.25 (3.5, 4, 4.25, 4.75, 5) in / 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) cm. Attach the sleeves around the armholes. Attach the buttons to the back of the neck and the zipper below the waist.

 

Edging

Using 1.75 mm hook and Anne yarn, work along the neckline, the back opening, and the cuffs following diag 6 and the rep st. Work in the rnd and close each rnd with 1 sc.

 

Lining

Suggested knit-fabric lining shaped to the dress. Sew the lining along the neckline and the back opening.
