Materials: 

• 1 skein of Amigurumi yarn – Colors: 3528 (Carmine), 3754 (Pink Rose) and 3077 (Quartz);

• Crochet hook – B/1 (2.5 mm);

• Tapestry needle;

Stitches Used:

Increase = inc

Chain = ch

Double Crochet = dc

Half Double Crochet = hdc

Treble Crochet = tr

Slip Stitch = sl st

Instructions

Heart 1

Amigurumi yarn 3528 (Carmine)  

Count the 3 starting ch of Round 1 as a dc.

Round 1: Inside the magic ring, make 3 ch, 15 dc, 1 sl st in the 3rd ch from the beginning of the round = 16 dc

Important note: When starting Rounds 2 and 3, make three chains; these will be counted as the first double crochet of the round.

Round 2: 3 ch, 1 dc in the same space as the ch, 15 dc inc to the end of the round, 1 sl st in the 3rd ch from the beginning of the round = 32 dc.

Round 3: *1 dc, 1 dc inc*, 1 sl st in the 3rd ch from the beginning of the round = 48 dc.

Round 4: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, (1 dc inc, 1 dc) x3, 2 hdc, 26 sc, 2 hdc, (1 dc, 1 dc inc) x3, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st in the first sc from the beginning of the round = 54 sts

Round 5: 1 sc, 2 hdc, 8 dc inc, 1 dc, 3 hdc, 7 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, (1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc) worked together, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 8 sc, 3 hdc, 1 dc, 8 dc inc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st in the first sc from the beginning of the round = 72 sts

Round 6: 2 sl st, 33 sc, (1 sc, 1 ch, 1 sc) worked together, 34 sc, 2 sl st = 74 sts

Fasten off.

Heart 2

Start with Amigurumi yarn 3754 (Pink Rose)  

Count the starting ch of each round as a dc.

Round 1: Inside the magic ring, make 3 ch, 15 dc, 1 sl st in the 3rd ch from the beginning of the round = 16 dc

Change to color 3077 (Quartz)

Yarn over in the first sl st of Round 6 and continue working the edging as follows:

Round 7: (1 sl st, 1 ch) x 74 = 148
