Finished Measurements: 51” x 13”


Materials:

3 hanks of Alpaya yarn in color 20 - natural, 1 hank of Alpaya yarn in color 5583 - lime green

I / 5.5mm crochet hook.

Scissors.

1 large button or pin.

 

Gauge:

8 puff stitches × 7 rows = 4" (10 cm) square in pattern stitch.

 

Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

Puff stitch - yarn over, insert your hook in the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop to the height of the double crochet, yarn over, pull through the first two loops, insert hook into the same st, yarn over and pull up a loop to the height of the double crochet, yarn over and pull through the first two loops, yarn over and pull through all remaining loops on your hook.

St - stitch

Ch - chain

Sk - skip

Sc - single crochet

Hdc - half double crochet

 

Pattern Notes:

Pattern uses US crochet terms.

 

Instructions:

Multiple of 3 + 2

With color 20 - natural, ch 152


Row 1: [puff st, ch 1, puff st] in the 4th ch from the hook, sk 2, [puff st, ch 1, puff st] in the next ch, repeat from to across until you have one ch remaining, 1 dc in the last ch. Turn.


Row 2-20: Ch 3, [puff st, ch 1, puff st] in the next ch-1 space, repeat from to across, ending with a dc in the top of the beginning ch 3. Turn.


Finish off color 20 - natural.


Attach color 5583 - lime green in the first ch of the corner of Row 1 where you began your foundation ch.

You will be working along the side of your piece, into the sides of the rows.


Ch 2.

Row 1: 40 hdc evenly across the side of the piece until you reach the top corner of the piece. Place [1 hdc, ch 2, 1 hdc] in the corner.

Rotate your work so you will be working along Row 20 (this is the bottom of your wrap). Place 1 hdc in the top of each puff st and in each ch-1 sp across. Place [1 hdc, ch 2, 1 hdc] in the last st at the corner.

Rotate your work again so you will be working along the other side of the rows. 40 hdc evenly down the side of the piece until you reach the bottom corner. Stop here, ch 2, turn.


Row 2: 1 hdc in each hdc to the end, placing [1 hdc, ch 3, 1 hdc] in each corner ch-2 sp. Once you reach the last hdc, change colors back to color 20 - natural. Ch 1, turn.


Now you will start working in the round.


Round 1: Place one sc in each st along the side, [1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc] in the corner ch-3 sp, 1 sc in each st across to the next corner, [1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc] in the corner ch-3 sp, 1 sc in each st up the other side,  [1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc] in the last st at the top to make a corner, then sc evenly across the top of the piece placing [1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc] in the last st, join with a sl st to the first sc.

Finish off color 20 - natural.


Attach color 5583 - lime green in the ch-3 sp of the last corner you just made.


Row 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in the same ch-3 sp. Ch 1, sk 1, 1 sc in the next st, repeat from to until you reach the corner, [1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc] in the corner ch-3 sp,** repeat from to * 2 more times, ending with a sc in the last corner ch-3 sp. Keep in mind this row only covers 3 sides of the wrap. The top is left as color 20 - natural.


Finish off, weave in ends.
