Materials & Tools:

·         2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 4) skeins of Anne (500 m / 147 g) – Color 8473 (Aluminum)

·         14 (16, 18, 19, 21, 22) skeins of Encanto Slim (240 m / 100 g) – Color 8473 (Aluminum)

·         Círculo 1.75 mm and 2.5 mm crochet hook

·         Knit fabric for lining

·         Elastic thread (10.9 yd / 10 m) – 1 spool in silver color

·         Tracing paper

·         Pencil

·         Scissors

·         Measuring tape

Abbreviations:

ch = Chain Stitch

dc = Double Crochet

diag: diagram

hdc = Half Double Crochet

picot: ch 3, 1 sl st, yarn over into the 1st ch

rep: repeat or repetition

rnd: round

sc = Single Crochet

sl st = Slip Stitch

st: stitch

sts: stitches

Pattern stitches:

Pattern st (A) = Follow diag 1

Pattern st (B): Follow diag 2

Strap: Follow diag 3

Gauge: A 3.94″ (10 cm) square in pattern st (A – diag 1), using Anne yarn and a 1.75 mm crochet hook = 31 sts x 10 rows.

Instructions

Transfer the templates to the tracing paper to use as a reference when making the piece. Note the arrows in the measurement diagram indicating the direction of the work.

Dress

Use 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn in color 8473 (Aluminum). Start the piece at the neckline and work front and back at once in the rnd. Ch 280 (310, 337, 370, 403, 436), Join with 1 sl st to form a ring. Work pattern st (A) following diag 1 and the rep sts from rnd 1 to rnd 84 (85, 86, 87, 88, 89).

Neckline edging

Use 2.5 mm crochet hook and Encanto Slim yarn in color 8473 (Aluminum). Work the top of the piece in pattern st (B) following diag 2 and the rep st from rnd 1 to rnd 4. Change to the tapestry needle and run the elastic thread through rnd 3 twice, creating a slight gathering.

Straps

Use 2.5 mm crochet hook and Encanto Slim yarn in color 8473 (Aluminum). Join the yarn 6 (6.75, 7, 7.75, 8.75, 9) in / 15 (17, 18, 20, 22, 23) cm away from the side edges of the front piece and work each strap with a cord of 81 (85, 89, 93, 97, 101) ch. Along the chain, work the 1st row of diag 3 following the rep st. When you finish each strap, attach it to the back with sl st.

Fringe

Use Encanto Slim yarn in color 8473 (Aluminum).

Rnd 1 and Rnd 30: For each knot, cut 30 yarn strands measuring 37.4" (95 cm) each, fold them in half, and attach them to the dress by tying them in place.

Make 93 (103, 112, 123, 134, 145) fringe knots on rnd 1 and the same number on rnd 30.

Rnd 60: For each knot, cut 30 yarn strands measuring 28" (71 cm) each, fold them in half, and attach them to the dress by tying them in place.

Lining

Strapless dress lining, worked as a separate, stand alone piece.
