With the help of pins, find the center of the head between R18 and R19. Mark a centered space of 13 stitches.
Insert the safety eyes between R1 and R2 of the eye spot, positioning them so they face the dc increases.
Do not secure the eyes yet; insert the eye posts into the head between R8 and R19.
There should be approximately 6 visible stitches between one eye spot and the other.
Make sure the white detail of the eye spots is facing outward.
After positioning the spots with the eyes on the head, secure the safety eye backs.

Stem
With Amigurumi yarn #5270 (Sugar Cane)
The stem is made using the knitting spool (tricotin) technique. Make it
approximately 9.8" (25 cm) long.
Skirt
With Amigurumi yarn #3116 (Ice Cream) and 2.5 mm hook
We will work using measurements rather than stitch counts.
Make a chain cord the length of your panda’s waist.
Close in a circle with 1 sl st.
R1: 1 ch to start, sc all around, finish with 1 sl st.
R2: 2 ch to start, inc of dc all around, finish with 1 sl st.
R3 & R4: 2 ch to start, dc all around, finish with 1 sl st.
R5: 4 ch, 1 inc of dc in the same base stitch as the chains, skip 2 base stitches, 1 sl st, 4 ch, 1 inc of dc in the same base stitch as the chains, skip 2 base stitches, 1 sl st.
Repeat this sequence to the end.
Fasten off.
Skirt Suspenders (2)
With Amigurumi yarn #3116 (Ice Cream) and 2.5 mm hook
Make a chain cord long enough to comfortably cross the suspenders at the back of your panda.
Skip 1 ch, work hdc to the end of row.
Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing.
Flowers (3)
With Amigurumi yarn #1708 (Angel) and 2.5 mm hook
R1 (inside of a magic ring): (4 dc, 1 sl st) 5x = 25 stitches.
Fasten off and pull the yarn of the magic ring.
Make an invisible fasten off.
Flower Centers (3)
Change to Amigurumi yarn #3116 (Ice Cream)
R1: 4 sc inside of a magic ring.
Make an invisible fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing.
Assembly
Sew the eye spots.
If desired, indent the eyes by passing the yarn behind the eyes, pulling gently, and securing with a knot.
Embroider the eyebrows with Rubi thread #8990 (Black) between R11 and R12.
Sew the muzzle onto the head. Place it below R18, centered between the eye spots.
Add stuffing before finishing the seam.
With Amigurumi yarn #8990 (Black) and a tapestry needle, embroider the nose between R4 and R5 of the muzzle, wrapping the yarn several times over 4 stitches.
Embroider a line below the nose with Rubi thread #8990 (Black).
Sew the ear detail between R3 and R5 of the ear.
Flatten the ear and sew it to the top of the head between R8 and R13.
Sew the belly spot vertically.
Sew the arm or attach them using jointing through sewing on the sides of the body, passing the same yarn through both arms and through the inside of the body, approximately between R28 and R29.
Sew the legs, or attach them using jointing through sewing on the sides of the body, passing the same yarn through both legs and through the inside of the body, approximately between R43 and R44.
Adjust to find the best positioning for your panda.
Sew the tail to the back of the body approximately between R40 and R43.
Add stuffing before finishing the seam.
Insert wire into the tricotin stem.
Bend the ends and fasten off the tricotin.
Sew the ends and close it.
Sew the leaves randomly onto the stem, forming a leafy branch.
Slightly curl the stem.
Sew the suspenders to the front of the skirt.
Dress the panda by placing the straps over the shoulders.
Cross the straps at the back, and sew them to the waistband of the skirt.
Sew the flower centers in place.
Make a chain cord to fit around the head using Amigurumi yarn #3116 (Ice Cream) and close in a circle with 1 sl st in the first ch, forming the headband.
Sew the flowers onto the headband.
Place it on the panda’s head.
If preferred, sew the flowers directly onto the top of the panda’s head.
