Instructions
Transfer the templates to the tracing paper to use as a reference when making the piece.
Dress – Skirt:
Begin working from the waist, crocheting front and back together. Using the 1.75 mm crochet hook and Anne yarn in White, make a foundation chain measuring 25.25 (29.25, 33, 37, 41, 45) in / 64 (74, 84, 94, 104, 114) cm.Work over this chain in Pattern Stitch A, following Diagram 1, the stitch repeats, and the pattern template. Work in joined rounds, closing each round with 1 sl st.When the piece measures 45.75 (45.75, 46.5, 46.5, 47.25, 47.25) in / 116 (116, 118, 118, 120, 120) cm from the beginning, fasten off and set aside.
Upper Section – Front:
To form the front, make two interlaced rosette strips, following Diagram 2 and the stitch repeats.
Each strip consists of 1 full rosette and 9 half rosettes, joined together with sl st.
After completing both strips, join them at the center using the insertion pattern (follow Diagram 3), repeating it 1 (2, 3, 3, 4, 5) time(s).
Upper Section – Back:
Work the same as the front. Join the strips at the center using the insertion pattern (follow Diagram 3), repeating it 1 (2, 3, 3, 4, 5) time(s), leaving an upper opening of 3.25 in / 8 cm (for all sizes).
Finishing
Join the front and back sections at the sides using the insertion pattern (follow Diagram 3), repeating it 2 (4, 6, 8, 10, 11) time(s), leaving 8.75 (9, 9.5, 9.75, 10.25, 10.75) in / 22 (23, 24, 25, 26, 27) cm openings for the armholes.
Note: You can customize the width here by decreasing or increasing the rows of Diagram 3.
Join the shoulders for 2 (2, 2, 2.25, 2.25, 2.25) in / 5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 6) cm using the same insertion pattern (Diagram 3).
Note: You can customize length here by decreasing or increasing the rows of Diagram 3.
As a finishing edge, work 1 row of sc evenly around the neckline and the back opening.
Sew the button to the right side of the upper back opening.Baste the interlaced rosette strips to the waist (skirt) using white Maxxi thread and a 12 mm sewing needle.Apply the acrylic rhinestones over the interlaced rosette strips on both front and back.
Lining:
Create a lining from knit fabric shaped to the dress, extending to hip length. Attach the lining to the dress around the neckline and armholes.Below the hips, add a skirt made from tulle fabric to give volume to the piece.
Disclaimer: measurements are approximate due to differences between centimeters and inches, needle sizes and tension. All care has been taken to allow accurate completion of the pattern.
