Size: 15 cm (6 in) height


Materials:

1 Amigurumi yarn ball - Colors: #7567 (Cocoa), #8001 (White), #5203 (Greenery), #5767 (Brazilian Green) & #5741 (Perroquet);

Amigurumi yarn scraps - Color: #8990 (Black);

Polyester stuffing;

Black safety eyes - 16 mm;

Crochet hooks - 1.75 mm & 2.5 mm;

Stitch marker;

Tapestry needle.

 

Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations: Increase = inc.; Chain = ch.; Decrease = dec.; Half Double Crochet = hdc.; Double Crochet = dc.; Slip Stitch = sl st.; Single Crochet = sc.; Place marker = pm.; End of Round = eor; Back Loops Only = BLO; Front Loops Only = FLO.

Invisible Fasten Off = Cut the yarn, pull the loop on the hook, thread it onto a tapestry needle, insert the needle under both loops of the 2nd stitch of the previous round, then insert the needle between the loops of the last complete stitch of the final round, pulling the yarn to the wrong side of the work. Tie a knot and trim the excess yarn.

 

Instructions


Body & Head

Start with Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White) and 1.75 hook

Start with the feet.

R1: 6 sc. inside of a magic ring;

R2: 6 inc. = 12 sc. Note: pm. on first sc.;

R3: (1 sc., 1 inc) to eor = 18 sc.;

R4 & R5: 18 sc.;

R6: 6 sc., 3 dec., 6 sc. = 15 sc.;

Change to Amigurumi yarn #7567 (Cocoa)

R7: BLO - 15 sc.; 

R8 to R10 (3 rounds): 15sc.

Change to Amigurumi yarn #8001 (White)

R11: 15 sc.

Fasten off the first leg. Make the second leg and do not cut the yarn. In the next round, join the legs.

Work a few sc. until you reach the inner side of the second leg.

Move the stitch marker to the first chain of the next round.

R12: Ch 4, join to the first leg with 1 sc. (make sure both feet are facing forward), then work 14 sc. around the first leg, 4 sc. across the chains between the legs, 15 sc. around the second leg = 38 sts.

R13: 4 sc. across the chains between the legs, 34 sc. around = 38 sts.

R14: 4 inc., 15 sc., 4 inc., 15 sc. = 46 sc.;

R15 to R18 (4 rounds): 46 sc.

Stuff the piece.

Change to Amigurumi yarn #7567 (Cocoa)

R19 to R23 (5 rounds): 46 sc.;

R24: 16 sc., 1 dec., 21 sc., 1 dec., 5 sc. = 44 sc.;

R25: (2 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 33 sc.;

R26: 33 sc.;

R27: (9 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 30 sc.;

R28: FLO - 30 sc.

With a separate strand of Amigurumi yarn #7567 (Cocoa), work sl st. in the back loops of round 28 to reinforce the doll’s neck. Fasten off.

Continue to the head.

R29: (2 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 40 sc.;

R30: (3 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 50 sc.;

R31: (4 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 60 sc.;

R32: 60 sc.;

R33: (11 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 65 sc.;

R34 to R48 (15 rounds): 65 sc.;

R49: (11 sc., 1 dec.) = 60 sc.

Insert the safety eyes between rounds 39 and 40, leaving 9 visible stitches between them after placing. 

Embroider the eye details using Amigurumi yarn colors #8990 (Black) and #8001 (White).

Embroider the nose using Amigurumi yarn #7567 (Cocoa), one round below the eyes, centered between them.

Embroider the eyebrows using Amigurumi yarn color #8990 (Black), 3 rounds above the eyes.

Stuff the piece.

R50: (10 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 55 sc.;

R51: (9 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 50 sc.;

R52: (8 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 45 sc.;

R53: (7 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 40 sc.;

R54: (6 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 35 sc.;

R55: (5 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 30 sc.;

R56: (4 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 25 sc.;

R57: (3 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 20 sc.;

R58: (2 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 15 sc.;

R59: (1 sc., 1 dec.) to eor = 10 sc.;

Finish stuffing.

R60: 5 dec. = 5 sc.

Fasten off with a reverse magic ring. 

If you prefer, indent the eyes.

 

Arms (2)

With Amigurumi yarn #7567 (Cocoa) and 1.75 mm

R1: 5 sc. inside of a magic ring;

R2: 5 inc. = 10 sc. Note: pm. on first sc.;

R3 to R10 (8 rounds): 10 sc.

Fold in half and close the sides with 5 sc.

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing.

No stuffing needed.

Sew the arms to the sides of the body, two rounds below the neck.

 

Hair

With Amigurumi yarn #5203 (Greenery) and 1.75 mm

All rounds will be worked in the back loops only.

R1: 6 sc. inside of a magic ring;

R2: BLO - 6 inc. = 12 sc. Note: pm. on first sc.;

R3: BLO - (1 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 18 sc.;

R4: BLO - (2 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 24 sc.;

R5: BLO - (3 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 30 sc.;

R6: BLO - (4 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 36 sc.;

R7: BLO - (5 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 42 sc.;

R8: BLO - (6 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 48 sc.;

R9: BLO - (7 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 54 sc.;

R10: BLO - (8 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 60 sc.;

R11: BLO - (9 sc., 1 inc.) to eor = 66 sc.;

R12 to R14 (3 rounds): BLO - 66 sc.

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing.

 

Hair Strands

With Amigurumi yarn #5203 (Greenery) and 1.75 mm

Insert the yarn into the first free loop of the magic ring at the base and work as follows: Ch. 13, skip 3 ch., make 1 inc. of dc. in each remaining ch., skip 1 free loop of the base and work a sequence of 4 sl st.

Repeat this sequence to the end of the round.

Sew the hair base to the top of the doll’s head, leaving the face visible.

 

Overalls

With Amigurumi yarn #5767 (Brazilian Green) and 2.5 mm hook

Work in circular rounds with loose stitches to give the overalls more drape and make them easier to put on the doll.

Ch. 45 and join in a circle with 1 sc. in the first ch.

R1: make more 44 sc.;

R2 to R7 (6 rounds): 45 sc.;

Fasten off, leaving a tail to shape the leg separation.

With a tapestry needle, create the separation between the legs by making a few stitches right in the center of the overalls.

To finish the waistband, insert Amigurumi yarn #5767 (Brazilian Green) into the foundation chains and work sc. around.

Make an invisible fasten off.

 

Top Part of the Overalls

With Amigurumi yarn #5767 (Brazilian Green) and 2.5 mm hook

Work in back-and-forth rows, chaining 1 and turning your work at the end of each row.

Find the center of the front part of the waistband, right in the middle of the overalls, and mark 6 stitches before the center point. Attach the yarn and make:

R1 to R4 (4 rounds): 12 sc., 1 ch. (TURN) = 12 sc.;

R5: 12 sc.

Fasten off.

 

Overall Straps (2)

With Amigurumi yarn #5767 (Brazilian Green) and 2.5 mm hook

Insert the yarn at the top of the overalls, at one end, and ch. 20.

Fasten off and repeat on the other side.

Put the overalls on the doll by sliding them up from the legs, and tie a knot behind the neck.

 

Leaves (2)

With Amigurumi yarn #5741 (Perroquet) and 2.5 mm hook

Ch. 7, skip 1 ch.

R1: 1 sl st., 1 sc., 2 hdc., 1 sc., 1 sl st., on the other side of the foundation chains: 1 sl st., 1 sc., 2 hdc., 1 sc., 1 sl st.

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail for sewing.

Sew the tips of the two leaves together, then sew them onto the overalls in the position of your choice.
