Size: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL)


Materials:

4 (4, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins of Seaside yarn – Color 615 (Royal Blue);

Size 3.0 mm crochet hook;

Fabric for lining;

4 blue buttons, 0.6 in / 1.5 cm in diameter.

 

Gauge:

27 sts x 16 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in pattern stitch using a 3.0 mm crochet hook.

 

Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc): Insert hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook.

Double Crochet (dc): Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through remaining 2 loops.

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc): Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to front around the post of the dc from previous row, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through remaining 2 loops.

Back Post Double Crochet (bpdc): Yarn over, insert hook from back to front to back around the post of the dc from previous row, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over and draw through remaining 2 loops.

Instructions:


Cropped Top

Front and Back

Front and back are worked together horizontally. Begin with the back.

Ch 23 (23, 26, 26, 26, 26) plus 3 turning ch and work in pattern stitch following chart.

After 4.75 (5, 5.5, 6.25, 6.75, 7) in / 12 (13, 14, 16, 17, 18) cm from beginning, increase at right edge, 6 sts before edge, every row: 1 st 13 (16, 16, 16, 18, 18) times.

At 15.75 (17.5, 19, 20.5, 22, 23) in / 40 (44.5, 48, 52, 56, 58.5) cm from beginning of work, stop working at right edge, 6 sts before edge, every row: 1 st 13 (16, 16, 16, 18, 18) times.

At 23.5 (26.5, 28.25, 30.75, 33, 34.75) in / 60 (67, 72, 78, 84, 88) cm from beginning of work, fasten off.


Straps

Make 2 straps to desired length following the Ruffle Pattern chart. Begin at one red mark on front and work to the other red mark on back.


Bottom

Front

Ch 16 (same for all sizes) and work as follows: work the first 10 sts of the Pattern Stitch chart plus the last 6 sts of the Pattern Stitch chart. Work even for 3.25 in / 8 cm.

At this point increase on each side, 6 sts before edges:

XS: every 2 rows increase 1 st 3 times, then every row increase 1 st 10 times.

S: every 2 rows increase 1 st 3 times, then every row increase 1 st 13 times.

M: every 2 rows increase 1 st 3 times, then every row increase 1 st 16 times.

L: every 2 rows increase 1 st 2 times, then every row increase 1 st 20 times.

XL: every 2 rows increase 1 st 2 times, then every row increase 1 st 22 times.

2XL: every row increase 1 st 27 times.

After completing increases, work even for 3 cm / 1.25 in.

Next, work the sides of the panties, starting from the side stitches of the last section without increases, as follows:

Work 10 rows using only the first 6 sts and the last 6 sts of the chart (the V section of the pattern stitch).

Work same for opposite side.

After completing 10 rows on each side, fasten off.


Back

Using same foundation chain as front, work in pattern stitch same as front.

At 1.25 in / 3 cm from beginning of back, increase on each side, 6 sts before edges, as follows:

XS: every row increase 2 sts 10 times, then every 2 rows increase 2 sts 3 times.

S: every row increase 2 sts 10 times, then every 2 rows increase 2 sts 5 times.

M: every row increase 2 sts 10 times, then every 2 rows increase 2 sts 6 times.

L: every row increase 2 sts 10 times, then every 2 rows increase 2 sts 7 times.

XL: every row increase 2 sts 12 times, then every 2 rows increase 2 sts 7 times.

2XL: every row increase 2 sts 13 times, then every 2 rows increase 2 sts 7 times.

After completing increases, work even for 3 cm / 1.25 in.

Next, work the sides of the panties, starting from the side stitches of the last section without increases, as follows:

Work 4 rows using only the first 6 sts and the last 6 sts of the chart (the V section of the pattern stitch).

Work same for opposite side.

After completing 4 rows on each side, fasten off.


Finishing

Bottom

Sew side seams.

Work around waistline in pattern stitch following chart only from to for 2 cm / 0.75 in. Then work 2 more rounds in sc and fasten off.

Work Arch Pattern around all leg openings following chart and fasten off.

Work Ruffle Pattern on both sides of leg openings. Attach yarn at one red mark and work to other red mark on schematic. Leave 5 sts unworked at each side twice.

Then work Arch Pattern along edge of ruffle following chart.

Fasten off and line bottom.


Cropped Top

Work Arch Pattern around all armholes following chart. Fasten off.

Work Arch Pattern along lower edge, outer edge of straps, and neckline following chart. Fasten off.

Sew buttons to left back edge. Sew first and last button 1 cm / 0.4 in from edges and space remaining 2 buttons evenly between them.

Button through the loops of the Arch Pattern on right edge.
