Sizes: S (M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL)

Materials:

•      Seaside yarn:

3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4) rolls – Color: #610 (Black);

1 roll – Color: #616 (Canary);

1 roll – Color: #6118 (Acqua);

1 roll – Color: #615 (Ball Blue);

•      Círculo crochet hook – 3.0 mm.

Gauge: a 4" (10 cm) square in dc. using a 3.0 mm hook = 27 sts. x 11 rows.

Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

•      Chain (ch).

•      Slip stitch (sl st): Insert the hook, yarn over, pull through the stitch and directly through the loop on the hook.

•      Single crochet (sc): Insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over again and pull through both loops on the hook.

•      Double crochet (dc): Yarn over, insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over again and pull through the remaining 2 loops.

•      Treble crochet (tr): Yarn over twice, insert the hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops , (repeat from to 2x), then yarn over and pull through the remaining loops on the hook.

•      Crab stitch: Work in single crochet from left to right.

Stitch Patterns:

•      Motif: Follow the chart.

•      Half motif: Follow the corresponding chart.

•      Drawstring: Follow the chart.   

Instructions

Front – The front is worked in motifs. ch 4, close in a circle with a sl st, and work the motif following the chart. When the chart is complete, fasten off.

Motif 1 – Work the motif in the following color sequence:

1 round in Black

1 round in Acqua

1 round in Ball Blue

1 round in Ball Blue

1 round in Black.

Make 12 identical motifs, joining them together on the last round following the assembly chart.

Motif 2 – Work the motif in the following color sequence:

1 round in Black

1 round in Acqua

1 round in Canary

1 round in Canary

1 round in Black.

Make 12 identical motifs, joining them together on the last round following the assembly chart.

Half motif for the front – ch 4, close in a circle with a sl st, and work the half colorful motif following the corresponding chart.

Join the half motif to the completed motifs on the last round, following the assembly chart.

Back – With black yarn, pick up stitches vertically from the right side of the front panel and work the entire back in double crochet (dc).Work 104 dc per row, for 26 (28, 29, 30, 32, 33) rows.

Then, divide the stitches for the legs as follows:

Work 64 dc on the side with motifs no. 1, ch 40, turn, and work 40 dc into the chain cord + the 64 dc from the main piece: Total 104 dc. Work 26 (28, 29, 30, 32, 33) more rows in dc with 104 dc in each row, then fasten off.

Half black motif – ch 4, close in a circle with a sl st, and work the half black motif following the corresponding chart. When the chart is complete, fasten off.

Join the half motif to the bottom of the back on the last round, following the assembly chart.

Finishing:

Sew the sides:

Sew the left side of the back to the left side of the front.

Sew the between-the-legs.

Legs:

With black yarn, work around each leg opening 3 rounds in dc, then 1 round in crab stitch, and fasten off.

Waistband:

With black yarn, work around the top edge (waist) of the piece 7 rounds in dc, then 1 round in crab stitch, and fasten off.

Cord:

Make a cord measuring 56.6 (60.6, 63, 65, 67, 70.8)" / 144 (154, 160, 165, 170, 180) cm in length following the chart, then fasten off.

Weave this cord through the stitches of the last dc round at the top edge.
