Level of difficulty



SIZES:

S, (M, L, XL), 2L and 3L.

BASED ON A BUST SIZE OF:

32–34, (36–38, 40–42, 44–46), 48–50 and 52–54 in /

81–86, (91–96, 101–106, 111–117), 122–127 and 132–137 cm

 

Materials:

8, (10, 11, 12), 13, 14 hanks Aloe Vera (132 yds / 121 m - 3.52oz / 100 g) – color 3794;

US 8 / 5.0 mm Circulo circular knitting needles 31 in. / 80 cm, or size needed to achieve gauge;

Tapestry needle;

Scissors;

Stitch markers;

Measuring tape.

 

Abbreviations: st: stitch, sts: stitches, inc.: increase, dec.: decrease, CO: cast-on, BO: bind-off, k: knit, p: purl.


STITCHES

Knitting stitches used: 1x1 rib: follow chart 1, stockinette stitch: follow chart 2, left edge: follow chart 3, right edge: follow chart 4, CDD: centered double decrease.


GAUGE
4 x4 in. / 10 x 10 cm square in stockinette pattern (chart 2), using US 8 / 5.0 mm circular needles, or size needes to achieve gauge = 16 sts x 18 rows.

 

EXECUTION

Pay attention to the arrows on the measurements chart indicating the direction of the work.
Work all panels flat.

BACK

Cast-on 78 (86, 94, 102), 110, 118 sts using Aloe Vera in the color Bordeaux and US 8 / 5.0 mm circular needles, or size needed to achieve gauge and work in 1x1 rib for 10 cm, following chart 1. Proceed in stockinette, following chart 2 for 14.9 in. / 38 cm. Then, work as follows: 6 edge sts (chart 3), 66 (74, 82, 90), 98, 106 sts, (chart 4), 6 edge sts (chart 3); Decrease 1 st on each side every 3 rows, 6 (7, 8, 9), 10, 11 times in total, 6 sts away from the edges. At 22.4 (22.8, 23.2, 23.6), 24.0, 24.4 in / 57 (58, 59, 60), 61, 62 cm from the CO edge, BO all sts and reserve the panel.


FRONT

Cast-on 78 (86, 94, 102), 110, 118 sts using Aloe Vera in the color Bordeaux and US 8 / 5.0 mm circular needles, or size needed to achieve gauge, and work in 1x1 rib for 4 in / 10 cm, following chart 1. Proceed in stockinette, following chart 2 until the work measures 14.9 in / 38 cm. Next, BO the 4 (4, 6, 6), 8, 8 center sts and work on each side separately 37 (41, 44, 48), 51, 55 sts on each side). Decrease simultaneously for the armholes and neckline: for the armholes, decrease 1 st on each side every 3 rows, 6 (7, 8, 9), 10, 11 times, 6 sts away from the edges. For the neckline, decrease 1 st every 2nd row on the neckline edge only, 14 (16, 18, 20), 22, 24 times in total. Shoulders remaining sts per side: 16 (18, 20, 22), 24, 26 stsWork in pattern until the work measures 22.4 (22.8, 23.2, 23.6), 24.0, 24.4 in / 57 (58, 59, 60), 61, 62 cm from the CO edge, BO all sts and reserve the panel.


SLEEVE

Cast-on 50 (56, 60, 64), 70, 74 sts using Aloe Vera in the color Bordeaux and us 8 / 5.0 mm circular needles or size needed to achieve gauge and work in 1x1 rib for 3.14 in / 8 cm, following chart 1. Proceed in stockinette, following chart 2 until the work measures 5.9 in / 15 cm. Next, make 1 increase on each edge every 6th row, 4 (5, 6, 7), 8, 9 times in total- you should end with 58 (66, 72, 78), 86, 92 sts. At 44 cm from the CO edge, decrease 1 st on each edge every 2nd row, 21.25 (21.75, 22, 22.5), 22.75, 23.25 inches / 14 (16, 18, 20), 22, 24 times in total. Work until the work measures 54 cm from the CO edge and BO the remaining 2 sts. Make the second sleeve in the same way and reserve them.


ASSEMBLING 

Using a tapestry needle and Aloe Vera in the color bordeaux, seam the shoulders 5.5 (6, 6.25, 6.75), 7, 7.5 in / 14 (15, 16, 17), 18, 19 cm and the sides of the body 15 (15.25, 15.75, 16.25), 16.5, 17 in / 38 (39, 40, 41), 42, 43 cm, leaving 7 (7.5, 7.75, 8.25), 8.75, 9 in / 18 (19, 20, 21), 22, 23 cm unseamed for the armholes. Seam the sleeves and attach them to the armholes.


COLLAR

Using 112 (125, 138, 151), 164, 177 sts using Aloe Vera in the color Bordeaux and US 8 / 5.0 mm circular needles, pick up and k 112 (125, 138, 151), 164, 177 sts around the neckline.

Work in 1x1 rib, following chart 1. To create the V shape in the front, make a CDD every 2nd row, 6 (7, 8, 9), 10, 11 times in total. Work for 2.75 in / 7 cm, then BO all sts, leaving a 20 cm yarn tail. Thread the tail through a tapestry needle and seam the collar 2.75 in / 7 cm.


FINISHING
Weave in all your ends, wet block and lay flat to dry.
