SIZE: S, (M, L, XL), 2L and 3L.

 

BASED ON A BUST SIZE OF:

32–34, (36–38, 40–42, 44–46), 48–50 and 52–54 in. /

81-86, (91-96, 101-106, 111-117), 122-127 and 132-137 cm

 

MATERIAL:

SUGGESTED NEEDLE: 

Círculo knitting needles US 6 and 8 / 4 and 5 mm or size needed to achieve gauge.

Círculo C/2 / 2.5 mm crochet hook.

YARDAGE:

8, (9, 10, 11), 12 and 13 Círculo Bossa nova skeins (169 yds / 155 m, 3.52 oz / 100 g), sample in color 3480 - Devotion.

NOTIONS:

·         Measuring Tape.

·         Tapestry needle.

·         Scissors.

 

STITCHES USED:

KNIT STS:

1/1 Rib Stitch: k1, [p1, k1], to the end of the row.

 

Stockinette stitch (st st): right side in knit, wrong side in purl. 1 purl, 1 knit

Row 1 (RS): [k] to the end of the row.

Row 2 (WS): [p] to the end of the row.

 

CROCHET STS:

Chain (ch).

Slip Stitch (sl st): Insert the needle, yarn over, pull the stitch through, and pass it directly over the needle.

Single Crochet (sc): Insert the needle, yarn over, pull the stitch through, and with another yarn over, complete the stitch.

Half double crochet (hdc): Yarn over, insert the needle, yarn over, pull the stitch through, yarn over, and complete the stitch.

Double crochet (dc): Yarn over, insert the needle, yarn over, pull the stitch through, yarn over, pull through 2 stitches, yarn over, and complete the stitch.

Pattern square: follow the chart. 

Picot: follow the chart. 


GAUGE: 18 sts x 23 rows. = 4 x 4 in / 10 x 10 cm in st st and larger needles.

 

ABBREVIATIONS:

r.: row, st(s).: stitch(es), k.: knit, p.: purl, RS: right side, WS: wrong side, [...].: repetition, CO.: cast on, BO.: bind off.

 

 

Execution

 

FRONT AND BACK ARE WORKED THE SAME:

Using your smaller needle CO 79, (87, 96, 105), 113, 123 sts.

Work in 1/1 rib st for 2.4 in / 6 cm from the CO edge.

Change to larger needles and work in st st for 14.2 in / 36 cm from the CO edge.

BO the central stitch and work each side separately.

To work the neckline, deacrease every other row: 2 sts (3 times) and 1 st (16 times).

At the same time, at 16.1 in / 41 cm from the CO edge, decrease for the armhole on the opposite side of the neckline every other row: 2 sts and 1 st (13 times).

At 21.3, (22, 22.8, 23.6), 23.6, 24.4 in / 54, (56, 58, 60), 60, 62 cm from the CO edge, BO all the sts.

 

Make another piece the same.

 

SLEEVES

Cast on 54, (58, 62, 68), 78, 84  sts using smaller needles.

Work in 1/1 rib st for 2.4 in / 6 cm from the CO edge.

Change to larger needles and work in st st for 16.5 in / 42 cm from the CO edge.

Now work deacreases for the sleeve cap, decrease 2 sts (2 times) and 1 st (13 times) on each side.

At 21.6 in / 55 cm from the CO edge, BO all the sts.

 

Make another piece the same.

 

CROCHET SQUARE

Ch 6, join to form a circle, and work the square pattern following the chart.

Once the chart is complete, FO.

Make 8 squares.

 

FINISHING

Join the shoulders.

Attach the sleeves to the armholes.

Sew the sides and the underarms.

Join the squares together following the assembly diagram, using a round of the joining st as shown in the chart.

Once all the squares are joined, attach them to the neckline with a round of the joining st.

Make a round of picot st along the neckline following the chart and FO.

Weave in all your ends, wet block and lay flat to dry.
