Materials:

2 - 3 (3 - 3 - 4 - 4) skeins of Charme - Color: 3047 (Breeze);

Bamboo circular needle with stainless steel cable - 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm (31.5 inches - 80 cm length);

Crochet hook - 3.0 mm;

Tapestry needle;

Tracing paper;

Pencil;

Scissors;

Measuring tape.

 

Knitting stitches used: pattern stitch (A): follow chart 1, stockinette stitch: follow chart 2, pattern stitch (B): follow chart 3, pattern stitch (C): follow chart 4, 1x1 rib: follow chart 5, ssk (simple decrease): slip one stitch knitwise, knit one stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knit stitch, bobble stitch: in the stitch indicated on the chart, knit 7 stitches as follows: (1 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 knit, 1 yarn over, 1 knit). Turn the work to the wrong side and purl these 7 stitches. Turn the piece to the right side and knit these 7 stitches. Turn to the wrong side again and purl these 7 stitches. Knit 3 stitches together, knit 3 stitches together, knit 1, turn to the right side and bind off these 3 stitches, making 3 stitches together knitwise, completing the bobble stitch.

 

Crochet stitches used: ch.: chain stitch and sl st.: slip stitch.

 

Gauge: a 4 inches (10 cm) square in stockinette stitch (chart 2) using 4.0 mm circular needle = 22 stitches x 26 rows.


Execution


Transfer the templates to tracing paper to use as a reference while making the piece. Pay attention to the arrows in the measurement diagram, indicating the direction of the work. Knit all pieces in back-and-forth rows.


Back: using Charme yarn color 3047 (Breeze), cast on 108 - 112 (118 - 124 - 130 - 134) stitches on the 4.0 mm circular needle. Begin the piece from the bottom edge in pattern stitch (A), following chart 1 and the repeat pattern from the 1st to the 28th row.


On the next row, continue the piece in stockinette stitch, following chart 2 and the repeat stitches.

At 9 - 10.2 (11.8 - 13.4 - 14.2 - 15.8) inches / 23 - 26 (30 - 34 - 36 - 40) cm in length, decrease 40 - 40 (42 - 42 - 44 - 42) stitches evenly across the row, a total of 68 - 72 (76 - 82 - 86 - 92) stitches remain.


Continue the piece in pattern stitch (B), following chart 3 and the repeat stitches for 1.2 inches / 3 cm.


On the next row, begin the raglan armholes, decreasing 1 stitch on each side every 2 rows 14 - 16 (17 - 17 - 18 - 20) times, a total of 40 - 40 (42 -  48 - 50 - 52) stitches remain.

At 14.6 - 16.2 (18.2 - 19.6 - 19.6 - 22) inches / 37 - 41 (46 - 50 - 50 - 56) cm in length from the beginning, decrease 18 - 16 (16 - 20 - 22 - 22) stitches evenly across the row, a total of 22 - 24 (26 - 28 - 28 - 30) stitches remain.


Switch to the 3.5 mm circular needle and finish the piece with the collar in 1x1 rib stitch, following chart 5 and the repeat stitches for 0.8 inches / 2 cm.


Bind off all stitches and set the piece aside.


Front: same as the back piece.


Sleeve: using Charme yarn color 3047 (Breeze), cast on 42 - 44 (46 - 48 - 50 - 55) stitches on the 4.0 mm circular needle. Begin the piece at the lower edge of the sleeve in pattern stitch (B), following chart 3 and the repeat stitches for 0.8 - 0.8 (0.8 - 1.6 - 1.6 - 1.6) inches / 2 - 2 (2 - 4 - 4 - 4) cm.


On the next row, continue in stockinette stitch, following chart 2 and the repeat stitches. On the first row of stockinette stitch, increase 14 stitches, for a total of 56 - 58 (60 - 62 - 64 - 69) stitches. Continue for 1.6 - 2 (2 - 2.4 - 2.4 - 2.4) inches / 4 - 5 (5 - 6 - 6 - 6) cm.


On the next row, begin the raglan armholes, decreasing 1 stitch on each side every row 5 times, a total of 46 - 48 (50 - 52 - 54 - 59) stitches remain.


Switch to pattern stitch (C), following chart 4 and the repeat stitches for 2.4 - 2.4 (2.6 - 2.6 - 2.8 - 3) inches / 6 - 6 (6.5 - 6.5 - 7 - 7.5) cm, continuing to decrease the raglan armholes by decreasing 1 stitch on each side every row 16 - 16 (17 - 17 - 18 - 20) times, a total of 14 - 16 (16 - 18 - 18 - 19) stitches remain.


Switch to stockinette stitch, following chart 2 and the repeat stitches for 1 - 1.6 (1.8 - 1.8 - 2 - 2.4) inches / 2.5 - 4 (4.5 - 4.5 - 5 - 6) cm.At the same time, continue the raglan shaping by decreasing 1 stitch on each side once.At the end of this section, you should have 12 - 14 (14 - 16 - 16 - 17) stitches remaining.This extra length ensures that the sleeve raglan matches the body raglan height before the pieces are joined.


At 6 - 6.6 (7 - 8.2 - 8.6 - 9) inches / 15 - 17 ( 18 - 21 - 22 - 23) cm in length from the beginning, switch to the 3.5 mm circular needle and finish the upper edge of the sleeve with 1x1 rib stitch, following chart 5 and the repeat stitches for 0.8 inches / 2 cm.


Bind off all stitches, make the other sleeve the same way, and set them aside.


Assembly: using a tapestry needle and Charme yarn color 3047 (Breeze), sew the seams with basting stitches.


Join the sleeves to the body at the armholes, collar, and upper edges of the sleeves, measuring 5.2 - 5.6 (6 - 6 - 6.2 - 6.6) inches / 13 - 14 (15 - 15 - 16 - 17) cm.


Sew the sides of the body closed for 9 - 10.2 (11.8 - 13.4 - 14.2 - 15.8) inches / 23 - 26 (30 - 34 - 36 - 40) cm. 


Sew the sleeves closed for 2.4 - 2.8 (2.8 - 4 - 4 - 4) inches / 6 - 7 (7 - 10 - 10 - 10) cm.


Dress waist cord: use a 3.0 mm crochet hook and Charme yarn color 3047 (Breeze). Work a 47-inch / 120 cm chain. On this chain, work 1 row of slip stitches. Thread this cord through the waist of the dress.


Lower edge sleeve cord: use a 3.0 mm crochet hook and Charme yarn color 3047 (Breeze). Work a 23.6-inch / 60 cm chain. On this chain, work 1 row of slip stitches. Thread this cord through the lower edge of the sleeve. Make the other cord the same way and thread it through the other sleeve.
