SIZES:
S, (M, L, XL), 2L and 3L.
BASED ON A BUST SIZE OF:
32–34, (36–38, 40–42, 44–46), 48–50 and 52–54 in /81–86, (91–96, 101–106, 111–117), 122–127 and 132–137 cm
MATERIALS
· 1 (1, 2, 2), 2, 3 cakes of Círculo Whoopee yarn (578 yds / 528 m - 7 oz / 200 gr), Rainforest - color 9475.
· 4 mm Círculo circular knitting needles or size needed to achieve gauge.
· 10 stitch markers, 1 different for BOR.
· 2 stitch holders..
GAUGE: 22 sts × 29 rows = 4 x 3 in / 10 × 10 cm in stockinette st
STITCHES
· 3×3 rib: k3, p3
· Stockinette: k RS, p WS
· Garter: k all rows
· Sleeve lace pattern: Chart 1
· Front lace pattern: Chart 2
· Raglan cable: Chart 3
ABBREVIATIONS:
rnd.: round, st(s).: stitch(es), k.: knit, p.: purl, RS: right side, WS: wrong side, [...].: repetition, CO.: cast on. BO.: bind off. K2tog.: knit 2 sts together. Sl.: slip one st, BOR.: begining of the round marker, PM.: place marker.
EXECUTION
The garment is knitted in the round from the top down. Place a marker before the first stitch to indicate the BOR. Front, back and sleeves are worked together until the end of the yoke.
SOME TIPS BEFORE YOU START
→ Confirm gauge before starting.
→ Use stitch markers exactly as allocated to track raglans and front lace.
→ Use smooth joins for sleeves and pick up evenly across the underarm cast-on stitches.
COLLAR
CO 128 (136, 144, 152), 160, 168 sts.Join to work in the round, place BOR marker. Work 3 cm in 3×3 rib.Next round, increase 4 sts evenly across the round, you should have 132 (140, 148, 156), 164, 172 sts total.
YOKE
Set-up round:
1st half back: 16 (18, 20, 22), 24, 26 sts, PM
1st raglan cable: 10 (10, 10, 10), 10, 10 sts, PM
Left sleeve: 18 (18, 18, 18), 18, 18 sts, PM
2nd raglan cable: 10 (10, 10, 10), 10, 10 sts, PM
Left front stockinette: 10 (12, 14, 16), 18, 20 sts, PM
Front lace: 4 (4, 4, 4), 4, 4 sts, PM
Right front stockinette: 10 (12, 14, 16), 18, 20 sts, PM
3rd raglan cable: 10 (10, 10, 10), 10, 10 sts, PM
Right sleeve: 18 (18, 18, 18), 18, 18 sts, PM
4th raglan cable: 10 (10, 10, 10), 10, 10 sts, PM
2nd half back: 16 (18, 20, 22), 24, 26 sts, BOR.
Knit in the order above until each section has reached its graded final count.
On each increase round you increase 1 stitch at each side of the sleeves, front and back (i.e., each section gains +2 stitches for that round).
Stop increasing a section when it reaches the final target for your size.
Final target stitch counts after increases (per section) — these are what each section should end up with before you separate the sleeves and body:
Sleeves: 52 (56, 60, 64), 66, 70 stsFront (stockinette + lace): 66 (70, 74, 78), 82, 88 stsBack (both halves): 52 (56, 60, 64), 66, 70 stsRaglan cables: 10 (10, 10, 10), 10, 10 sts each
When the yoke increases are complete, you should have 276 (292, 308, 324), 336, 356 sts total.
DIVIDING BODY AND SLEEVES
Work until your reach you sleeve sts, place the 52 (56, 60, 64), 66, 70 sts of the left sleeve on hold, CO 12 (12, 14, 14), 14, 16 sts, work the front sts in pattern, place the 52 (56, 60, 64), 66, 70 sts of the right sleeve on hold, CO 12 (12, 14, 14), 14, 16 sts.
Now you have front and back in the needles, you should have 156 (164, 176, 184), 192, 208 sts total.
BODY
Keep working in pattern, following the stockinette areas and keeping the 4 sts front lace for 7.08 in /18 cm from the underarm.
Make 4 evenly distributed decreases for sizes S, M, L.
Make 7 evenly distributed decreases for sizes XL, 2XL, 3XL.
Work 4.71 in / 12 cm in 3×3 rib and bind off in pattern.
SLEEVES
Place the first sleeve sts back on the needles, pick up and knit 6 (6, 7, 7), 7, 8 sts, place BOR, pick up and knit 6 (6, 7, 7), 7, 8 sts. You should have 64 (68, 74, 78), 80, 86 sts total.
Work in sleeve lace pattern (Chart 1) until the sleeve measures 7.08 in / 18 cm from the underarm, then work 0.7 in / 2 cm in garter stitch and bind off.
FINISHING
Weave in all your ends, wet block and lay flat to dry.
