Approximate final measurements (garment measurements):

•      Chest circumference: 41 (44, 46.5, 48.75, 54, 60.25) in / 104 (112, 118, 124, 137, 153) cm


Materials:

•      17 (18, 20, 21, 23, 25) skeins of Brazilian Merino Supreme (67m / 100g) – Círculo – Color 5007 (Juniper)

•      1 skein Color 20 (Natural).

Círculo knitting needles – US 10.5 (6.5 mm) and US 10.75 (7.0 mm).

Círculo circular needle – US 10.5 (6.5 mm) with an 31.5" (80 cm) cable.

Buttons – 5 buttons, 1.2" (3 cm) in diameter.

 

Note: Yarn amounts are approximate and may vary depending on tension and adjustments made to match the templates. Due to textured stitches and large needle size, yarn consumption is higher.


Stitches used

•      2x2 Rib: k2, p2.

•      Stockinette stitch: RS knit, WS purl.

•      Reverse stockinette stitch: RS purl, WS knit.

•      Seed stitch:

Row 1: k1, p1.

Row 2 and all even rows: work stitches as they appear.

Row 3: repeat Row 1.

•      Pattern stitch: work according to chart.

•      Diamond stitch: work according to chart.

Note: In some sizes, the Diamond chart is worked partially. Instructions below specify exactly how many chart stitches to work for each size. Stitches omitted from the chart are simply not worked.

 

Gauge – 14 sts and 17 rows = 4" (10 cm) in stitch pattern, using US 10.75 (7.0 mm) needles.

 

Instructions


Back – Make two identical pieces. With Juniper color, cast on 72 (78, 84, 88, 96, 108) sts using US 10.5 (6.5 mm) needles and work in 2x2 rib.

At 4.75" (12 cm) from the beginning of the work, change to US 10.75 (7.0 mm) needles.

After completing the ribbing and switching to larger needles, work one setup row in stockinette stitch and increase/decrease for sizes S and XL.

•      S: inc 2 sts.

•      XL: dec 1 st.

Working the Diamond Stitch on the Back

•      Size S: Work 32 sts of the Diamond chart, omitting 1 stitch from each side edge of the chart.

•      Sizes M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL: Work the Diamond chart as instructed, using the number of stitches specified below.

Next row, work stitches as follows:

S: 2 sts stockinette, 32 sts diamond, 6 sts pattern, 32 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

M: 2 sts stockinette, 34 sts diamond, 6 sts pattern, 34 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

L: 2 sts stockinette, 34 sts diamond, 12 sts pattern, 34 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

XL: 2 sts stockinette, 34 sts diamond, 15 sts pattern, 34 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

2XL: 2 sts stockinette, 34 sts diamond, 24 sts pattern, 34 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

3XL: 2 sts stockinette, 34 sts diamond, 36 sts pattern, 34 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

At 24.5 (25.5, 26.75, 28, 29.5, 30.75) in / 62 (65, 68, 71, 75, 78) cm from the beginning of the work, bind off.

 

Right Front – With Juniper color, cast on 36 (40, 40, 44, 48, 54) sts using US 10.5 (6.5 mm) needles and work in 2x2 rib.

At 4.75" (12 cm) from the beginning of the work, change to US 10.75 (7.0 mm) needles.

After completing the ribbing and switching to larger needles, work one setup row in stockinette stitch.

Working the Diamond Stitch on the Fronts

Note: For smaller sizes, the Diamond chart is worked partially to fit the narrower front panels. The motif remains centered.

•      Size S: Work 26 sts of the Diamond chart, omitting 4 stitches from each side edge of the chart.

•      Sizes M and L: Work 30 sts of the Diamond chart, omitting 2 stitches from each side edge of the chart.

•      Sizes XL, 2XL, 3XL: Work the Diamond chart over the full 34 stitches.

Next row, work stitches as follows:

S: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 26 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

M: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 30 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

L: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 30 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

XL: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 34 sts diamond, 2 sts stockinette.

Bind off stitches on the RS, after the first 2 edge stitches, as follows:

S: every 2 rows, 1 st 10 times.

M: every 2 rows, 1 st 10 times; then every 4 rows, 1 st once.

L: every 2 rows, 1 st 10 times; then every 4 rows, 1 st 3 times.

XL: every 2 rows, 1 st 10 times; then every 4 rows, 1 st 4 times.

2XL: every 2 rows, 1 st 10 times; then every 4 rows, 1 st 5 times.

3XL: every 2 rows, 1 st 11 times; then every 4 rows, 1 st 5 times.   

At 24.5 (25.5, 26.75, 28, 29.5, 30.75) in / 62 (65, 68, 71, 75, 78) cm from the beginning of the work, bind off.

 

Left Front – Work the same as the right front, reversing shaping.

 

Sleeves – With Juniper color, cast on 36 (36, 40, 44, 48, 48) sts using 6.5 mm (US 10.5) needles and work in 2x2 rib.

At 2" (5 cm) from the beginning of the work, work 2 rows with Natural color, then return to Juniper color.

At 3.5" (9 cm) from the beginning of the work, change to US 10.75 (7.0 mm) needles.

Working the Diamond Stitch on the Sleeves

Note: The Diamond chart is worked partially on the sleeves. The number of omitted stitches decreases as sizes increase, maintaining a centered motif.

•      S, M: omit 7 sts from each side of the chart - 20 sts Diamond

•      L: omit 5 sts from each side - 24 sts Diamond

•      XL: omit 3 sts from each side - 28 sts Diamond

•      2XL, 3XL: omit 1 st from each side - 32 sts Diamond

Next row, work stitches as follows:

S: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 20 sts diamond, 3 sts pattern, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 2 sts stockinette.

M: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 20 sts diamond, 3 sts pattern, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 2 sts stockinette.

L: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 24 sts diamond, 3 sts pattern, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 2 sts stockinette.

XL: 2 sts stockinette, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 3 sts pattern, 28 sts diamond, 3 sts pattern, 3 sts reverse stockinette, 2 sts stockinette.

XL: every 8 rows: 2 st (5 times)

2XL: every 8 rows: 2 st (6 times)

3XL: every 8 rows: 2 st (7 times)

At 20 (20.5, 20.75, 21.25, 21.75, 22) in 51 (52, 53, 54, 55, 56) cm from the beginning of the work, bind off.


Finishing –

•      Sew the shoulder seams.

•      Using the circular needle and Juniper color, pick up stitches evenly along the fronts and neckline. Work in 2x2 rib using the following color sequence: 4 rows Juniper, 2 rows Natural, 2 rows Juniper, 1 row Natural, 1 row Cultura, 1 row Natural, 2 rows Juniper. Bind off loosely.

•      At the same time, on the 5th row, make 5 buttonholes on the left front by binding off 2 sts and casting them on again on the following row. Place the first buttonhole 1.2" (3 cm) from the lower edge, and the remaining buttonholes 4" (10 cm) apart.

•      Set the sleeves from each side of the shoulder seams.

•      Sew the sleeves and side seams.

•      Attach the buttons to the right front, aligning them with the buttonholes.ents.
