Instructions by Size


Size S

1. Cast on 53 stitches using 7.0 mm straight needles.

2. Work in Broken Rib pattern for 17″:  

- Row 1: P1, K1, P1  

- Row 2 and all even rows: K all sts  

- Row 3: K1, P1, K1  

- Row 5 onward: repeat Row 1

3. Bind off 14 stitches on each side, leaving 25 sts centered.

4. Work center stitches as follows:  

- ¾″ in Broken Rib  

- Then ½″ in 1x1 rib (K1, P1)  

- Bind off all sts.


Size M

1. Cast on 57 stitches using 7.0 mm straight needles.

2. Work in Broken Rib pattern for 17¾″:  

- Row 1: P1, K1, P1  

- Row 2 and all even rows: K all sts  

- Row 3: K1, P1, K1  

- Row 5 onward: repeat Row 1

3. Bind off 14 stitches on each side, leaving 29 sts centered.

4. Work center stitches as follows:  

- ¾″ in Broken Rib  

- Then ½″ in 1x1 rib (K1, P1)  

- Bind off all sts.


Size L

1. Cast on 63 stitches using 7.0 mm straight needles.

2. Work in Broken Rib pattern for 18½″:  

- Row 1: P1, K1, P1  

- Row 2 and all even rows: K all sts  

- Row 3: K1, P1, K1  

- Row 5 onward: repeat Row 1

3. Bind off 16 stitches on each side, leaving 31 sts centered.

4. Work center stitches as follows:  

- ¾″ in Broken Rib  

- Then ½″ in 1x1 rib (K1, P1)   - Bind off all sts.


Size XL

1. Cast on 69 stitches using 7.0 mm straight needles.

2. Work in Broken Rib pattern for 19¼″:  

- Row 1: P1, K1, P1  

- Row 2 and all even rows: K all sts  

- Row 3: K1, P1, K1  

- Row 5 onward: repeat Row 1

3. Bind off 18 stitches on each side, leaving 33 sts centered.

4. Work center stitches as follows:  

- ¾″ in Broken Rib  

- Then ½″ in 1x1 rib (K1, P1)  

- Bind off all sts.


Size 2XL

1. Cast on 75 stitches using 7.0 mm straight needles.

2. Work in Broken Rib pattern for 20″:  

- Row 1: P1, K1, P1  

- Row 2 and all even rows: K all sts  

- Row 3: K1, P1, K1  

- Row 5 onward: repeat Row 1

3. Bind off 20 stitches on each side, leaving 35 sts centered.

4. Work center stitches as follows:  

- ¾″ in Broken Rib  

- Then ½″ in 1x1 rib (K1, P1)  

- Bind off all sts.


Finishing

• Seam shoulders and collar sides.

• Seam side seams, leaving armhole openings as indicated in chart.
