BASED ON A BUST SIZE OF:

32–34, (36–38, 40–42, 44–46), 48–50 and 52–54 in. /

81-86, (91-96, 101-106, 111-117), 122-127 and 132-137 cm


Materials:

SUGGESTED NEEDLE: 

Círculo circular needle 40 in / 100 cm, US 10 / 6 mm or size needed to achieve gauge.

YARDAGE:

4, (5, 6, 6), 6 and 7 Círculo Brazilian Merino Sweet (328 yds / 300 m, 3.52 oz / 100 g), sample in color 9021 - Sapphire.

NOTIONS:

·         Measuring Tape.

·         Tapestry needle.

·         Scissors.

 

STITCHES USED:

Garter stitch:

Row 1 (RS): [k]

Row 2 (WS): [k]

 

Stitch Pattern A (Chart A)

Stitch Pattern B (Chart B)

 

Decreases:

SSK

Slip, slip, knit

CDD (Central Double Decrease):

Sl1 knitwise, k2tog, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitches.

K2tog:

Knit 2 sts together

 

GAUGE: 14 sts x 21 rows. = 4 x 4 in / 10x10 cm in garter st flat.

 

ABBREVIATIONS:

r.: row, st(s).: stitch(es), k.: knit, p.: purl, RS: right side, WS: wrong side, [...].: repetition, CO.: cast on, BOR.: begining of the round. BO.: bind off. Sl.: slip one st.

 

Instructions


STEP 1 – YOKE AND SLEEVES

LEFT SIDE: 

CO 36, (40, 44, 48), 52, 58 sts, work in garter st for 1.57 in / 4 cm, this is the cuff.

On the next row, knit the sleeve in Stitch Pattern A (Chart A). Increase 1 stitch on each side of the piece every 5 rows, 4 times, for a total of 46, (50, 54, 58), 62, 68 sts.

 

At 10.24 in / 26 cm from the CO edge, increase 8 sts on each side of the piece, for a total of 62, (66, 70, 74), 78, 84 sts.

 

Continue working Chart A for 6.3 in / 16cm.

On the next row, BO 34, (38, 42, 46), 50, 54 sts on the right side.

On the remaining 28, (28, 28, 28), 28, 28 sts on the left side, continue in working Chart A for 3.15 in / 8cm.

BO all the sts.

 

RIGHT SIDE:

CO 36, (40, 44, 48), 52, 58 sts, work in garter st for 1.57 in / 4cm, this is the cuff.

On the next row, knit the sleeve in Stitch Pattern A (Chart A). Increase 1 stitch on each side of the piece every 5 rows, 4 times, for a total of 46, (50, 54, 58), 62, 68 sts.

ASSEMBLING THE YOKE AND SLEEVES

With your tapestry needle join the two pieces along the center back 8.66 in / 22 cm, matching A with A (see diagram).

Fold the piece in half to determine the front and back, then close the sleeves and the underarms.

 

STEP 2:

BODY

Work right front, left front and the back all at the same time. Join your yarn at the side of the left front, RS facing and pick up and knit 133, (147, 161, 175), 189, 203 sts. Work Chart B for 12.6 in / 32 cm.

Work in garter st for 1.18 in / 3 cm.

BO all the sts.

 

STEP 3:

FRONT BAND:

Join your yarn at the side of the right front, RS facing and pick up and knit 190, (210, 230, 256), 283, 313 sts around the right front, neckline and left front.

 

Work in garter st for 2.36 in /6 cm.

Bind off all sts

 

FINISHING

Weave in all your ends, wet block and lay flat to dry.
