12, (13, 15, 16), 18, 19 Merino Supreme (73 yds / 67 m, 3.52 oz / 100 g) skeins, sample in the color 4095 – Rum.

No. 2 Círculo sewing needle.
8 buttons – approximately 0.79 in / 2 cm each.

Seed stitch:
Row 1 (RS): [k1, p1]
Row 2 (WS): [p1, k1]
Gauge: 13 sts x 20 rows. = 4 x 4 in / 10x10 cm in seed stitch flat.
ABBREVIATIONS: st(s).: stitch(es), k.: knit, p.: purl, RS: right side, WS: wrong side, [...].: repetition, CO.: cast on, BO.: bind off, sl1wyif.: slip 1 st with the yarn in front, k2tog.: knit 2 sts together, yo.: yarn over.
Execution
Using the larger needles, CO 58, (66, 72, 78), 84, 92 sts.
Work in seed stitch for 10.2, (10.2, 11, 11.8), 11.8, 11.8 in / 26, (26, 28, 30), 30, 30 cm from the CO edge.
Then, shape the armholes by decreasing on each side, every 2nd row: 3 sts (1x), 2 sts (1x), then 1 st (2x).
You should end with 44, (52, 58, 64), 70, 78 sts. After all the decreases have been made, work in pattern until your work measures 18.9, (18.9, 19.7, 20.5), 20.5, 20.5 in / 48, (48, 50, 52), 52, 52 cm.
BO all the sts.
RIGHT FRONT:
Using the larger needles, CO 44, (50, 54, 60), 64, 70 sts.
Row 1 (RS): sl1wyif, k1, sl1wyif, [k1, p1], to the end of the row.
Row 2 (WS): [p1, k1], to last 3 sts, k1, sl1wyif, k1.
Work rows 1 and 2 for 1.9 in / 5 cm.
Start making the buttonholes.
Buttonhole row (RS): sl1wyif, k1, sl1yif, k1, yo, k2tog, work in seed stitch for 26, (32, 36, 42), 46, 52 sts, yo, k2tog, continue in seed stitch to the end of the row.
Row 2 (WS): [p1, k1], to last 3 sts, k1, sl1wyif, k1.
Work the buttonhole row every 3.9 in / 10 cm.
Work in seed stitch for 10.2, (10.2, 11, 11.8), 11.8, 11.8 in / 26, (26, 28, 30), 30, 30 cm from the CO edge, shape the armholes by decreasing on the right side only: 3 sts (1x), 2 sts (1x) and 1 st (3x).

Repeat row 7 more 11 times.
At 18.9, (18.9, 19.7, 20.5), 20.5, 20.5 in / 48, (48, 50, 52), 52, 52 cm from the CO edge, BO all the stitches.
LEFT FRONT:
Using the larger needles, CO 44, (50, 54, 60), 64, 70 sts.
Row 1 (RS): [k1, p1], to 3 sts left, sl1wyif, k1, sl1wyif.
Row 2 (WS): k1, sl1wyif, k1, [p1, k1], to the end of the row.
Work rows 1 and 2 10.2, (10.2, 11, 11.8), 11.8, 11.8 in / 26, (26, 28, 30), 30, 30 cm.
Start the armhole shaping, decreasing every 2nd row, on the left side only: 3 sts (1x), 2 sts (1x) and 1 st (2x).
You should end with 36, (42, 46, 52), 56, 62 sts. After all decreases have been made, work in pattern until your work measures 43 cm from the CO edge.
Start the neckline decreases:
Row 1 and all the odds rows (RS): [k1, p1].
Row 2 (WS): [p1, k1] to 16 sts left, BO 16 sts.
Row 4 (WS): [p1, k1] to 4 sts left, BO 4 sts.
Row 6 (WS): [p1, k1] to 3 sts left, BO 3 sts.
Row 8 (WS): [p1, k1] to 1 sts left, BO 1 sts.
Repeat row 8 more 11 times.
At 18.9, (18.9, 19.7, 20.5), 20.5, 20.5 in / 48, (48, 50, 52), 52, 52 cm from the CO edge, BO all the stitches.
SLEEVES With larger needles, CO 30, (34, 38, 40), 44, 48 sts.
Work 4 cm in seed stitch for the cuff.
Then, increase 1 stitch on each side every 10 rows, 7 times in total, until you will end up with 44, (48, 52, 54), 58, 62 sts on the needles.
At 39 cm, shape the sleeve by decreasing, every 2nd row each side: 2 sts (3x), then 1 st (13x), until you will end up with 6, (10, 14, 16), 20, 24 sts on the needles.
Work until your sleeve measures 54 cm, then BO all remaining sts on the needles.
Make the second sleeve the same.
ASSEMBLING:
Using a tapestry needle and the same yarn you used to the knit the jacket parts, seam the shoulders and the sides of the body. Attach both sleeves on each side. Close the underarms.
COLLAR:
Right side facing, using smaller needles, pick up and k approximately 44, (50, 54, 60), 64, 70 sts around the neckline, starting at the right front and ending at the left front.
Row 1 (WS): k1, sl1wyif, k1, [p1, k1] to last 3 sts, k1, sl1wyif.
Row 2 (RS): sl1wyif, [k1, p1] to last 3 sts, sl1wyif, k1, sl1wyif.
From row 3 forward, increase 1 sts on each side every 2 rows, 5x in total, ending with 54, (60, 64, 70), 74, 80 sts.
At 8 cm from the beginning of the work, BO all sts.
FINISHING
Sew the buttons to the left front using a sewing needle and Maxxi Retrós in the color 724.
