- Straight: 4.0 mm (US 6) and 5.0 mm (US 8)

- Circular: 4.0 mm (US 6), 24″ (60 cm) cable

Stitches used

1x1 rib: k1, p1, k1. Stockinette: k on the right side, p on the wrong side.

 

Gauge- 10x10 cm square in stockinette, with 5.0 mm needles = 21 sts x 24 rows.

 

Size S

Back

• Cast on 82 stitches using 4.0 mm (US 6) needles.

• Work in 1x1 rib for 3 1/4″ (8 cm).

• Switch to 5.0 mm (US 8) needles.

• On the first row, increase 8 stitches evenly across (total: 90 sts).

• Continue in stockinette until piece measures 14 1/4″ (36 cm) from cast-on edge.

• Bind off all stitches.


Front

• Work same as back until piece measures 7 3/4″ (20 cm) from cast-on edge.

• Begin neckline shaping:

- Bind off 7 center stitches.

- Work both sides separately.

- Decrease 1 stitch every 2nd row, 13 times on each side.

• Bind off remaining stitches when piece measures 14 1/4″ (36 cm) from cast-on edge.


Finishing

• Seam the shoulders.

• With RS facing, use circular 4.0 mm (US 6) needles to pick up and knit 96 stitches around neckline.

• Work flat in 1x1 rib for 1 1/2″ (4 cm).

• Bind off and overlap the two ribbing ends at center front; seam neatly.


Armhole Finishing

• With RS facing, pick up and knit 36 stitches along 7″ (18 cm) of each armhole edge.

• Work 1x1 rib for 3/4″ (2 cm). Bind off.

• Seam armhole ribbing and side panels


Size M

Back

• Cast on 91 stitches using 4.0 mm (US 6) needles.

• Work in 1x1 rib for 3 1/4″ (8 cm).

• Switch to 5.0 mm (US 8) needles.

• On the first row, increase 10 stitches evenly across (total: 101 sts).

• Continue in stockinette until piece measures 14 1/4″ (36 cm) from cast-on edge.

• Bind off all stitches.


Front

• Work same as back until piece measures 7 3/4″ (20 cm) from cast-on edge.

• Begin neckline shaping:

- Bind off 9 center stitches.

- Work both sides separately.

- Decrease 1 stitch every 2nd row, 15 times on each side.

• Bind off remaining stitches when piece measures 14 1/4″ (36 cm) from cast-on edge.


Finishing

• Seam the shoulders.

• With RS facing, use circular 4.0 mm (US 6) needles to pick up and knit 104 stitches around neckline.

• Work flat in 1x1 rib for 1 1/2″ (4 cm).

• Bind off and overlap the two ribbing ends at center front; seam neatly.


Armhole Finishing

• With RS facing, pick up and knit 39 stitches along 7″ (18 cm) of each armhole edge.

• Work 1x1 rib for 3/4″ (2 cm). Bind off.

• Seam armhole ribbing and side panels.

Back

• Cast on 100 stitches using 4.0 mm (US 6) needles.

• Work in 1x1 rib for 3 1/4″ (8 cm).

• Switch to 5.0 mm (US 8) needles.

• On the first row, increase 12 stitches evenly across (total: 112 sts).

• Continue in stockinette until piece measures 14 1/4″ (36 cm) from cast-on edge.

• Bind off all stitches.


Front

• Work same as back until piece measures 7 3/4″ (20 cm) from cast-on edge.

• Begin neckline shaping:

- Bind off 11 center stitches.

- Work both sides separately.

- Decrease 1 stitch every 2nd row, 16 times on each side.

• Bind off remaining stitches when piece measures 14 1/4″ (36 cm) from cast-on edge.


Finishing

• Seam the shoulders.

• With RS facing, use circular 4.0 mm (US 6) needles to pick up and knit 112 stitches around neckline.

• Begin neckline shaping:

- Bind off 13 center stitches.

- Work both sides separately.

- Decrease 1 stitch every 2nd row, 17 times on each side.
