Fringe Blouse

Sizes: S (M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL)

Materials:

2 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5) skeins of Natural Cotton Maxcolor – Color: 7136 (Marsala);

2 skeins of Encanto Slim – Color: 7136 (Marsala); 

Knitting needle – size 5.00 mm (US 8);

Círculo circular needle – size 5.00 mm (US 8) with a 24 in (60 cm) cable.

Stitches used: Rib 1/1: K1, P1. Stockinette stitch: knit on RS, purl on WS. Crochet fringe: insert the hook in the indicated place, fold the yarn in half, yarn over, pull the yarn through and pass the ends through the loop, pull the yarn ends and release (1 fringe). Repeat as many times as necessary.

Gauge: one 4 in (10 cm) square in stockinette stitch on 5.00 mm (US 8) needles = 16 sts x 20 rows.

Instructions

Back: using Natural Cotton Maxcolor yarn, cast on 67 (75, 83, 91, 99, 107) sts on 5.00 mm (US 8) needles and work in stockinette stitch.

At 7.48 (7.48, 7.48, 7.09, 7.09, 7.09) in / 19 (19, 19, 18, 18, 18) cm from the beginning, for the armholes, bind off on each side every 2 rows:

S: 2 sts once, then 2 sts twice.

M: 3 sts once, then 2 sts 3 times.

L: 3 sts twice, then 2 sts 3 times.

XL: 3 sts twice, then 2 sts 4 times.

2XL: 3 sts twice, then 3 sts 4 times.

3XL: 3 sts twice, then 3 sts 5 times.

At 13.39 (14.17, 14.96, 15.35, 15.75, 16.14) in / 34 (36, 38, 39, 40, 41) cm from the beginning, bind off all sts.

Front: work as for the back until 10.63 (11.42, 12.2, 12.60, 12.99, 13.39) in / 27 (29, 31, 32, 33, 34) cm from the beginning.

At this point, for the neckline, bind off the 9 (9, 9, 10, 10, 10) central sts and work each side separately. On the neckline edge, bind off every 2 rows:

S: 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 1 sts once.

M: 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 2 sts once.

L: 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 2 sts once.

XL: 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 2 sts once.

2XL: 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 2 sts once.

3XL: 3 sts once, 2 sts twice, 2 sts once.

At 13.39 (14.17, 14.96, 15.35, 15.75, 16.14) in / 34 (36, 38, 39, 40, 41) cm from the beginning, bind off all sts.

Sleeves: using Natural Cotton Maxcolor yarn, cast on 38 (40, 42, 43, 45, 46) sts on 5.00 mm (US 8) needles and work in stockinette stitch.

At 16.93 (16.93, 17.32, 17.32, 17.72, 17.72) in / 43 (43, 44, 44, 45, 45) cm from the beginning, for the armholes, bind off on each side every 2 rows:

S: 3 sts once, then 1 st eleven times.

M: 3 sts once, then 1 st thirteen times.

L: 3 sts once, then 1 st fifteen times.

XL: 3 sts once, then 1 st fifteen times.

2XL: 3 sts once, then 1 st fifteen times.

3XL: 3 sts once, then 1 st sixteen times.

At 21.65 (22.44, 23.23, 24.41, 24.80, 25.59) in / 55 (57, 59, 62, 63, 65) cm from the beginning, bind off all sts.

Finishing:

Sew the shoulders.

Using Natural Cotton Maxcolor yarn and circular needles, pick up 66 (68, 68, 71, 71, 71) sts evenly around the neckline and work in 1/1 rib. At 1.25 in (3 cm) from the picked-up sts, bind off.

Set in the sleeves.

Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.

Fringe: for each fringe, cut 9 strands of Encanto Slim, 12 in (30 cm) long each, and make the fringe following the instructions, all around the lower edge, spacing each fringe every 3 sts. Make 28 fringes along the seam of each sleeve, evenly spaced.
