Size: S, (M, L, XL), 2L and 3L.

 

BASED ON A BUST SIZE OF:

32–34, (36–38, 40–42, 44–46), 48–50 and 52–54 in. /

81-86, (91-96, 101-106, 111-117), 122-127 and 132-137 cm.

 

Materials:

2 Jeans (100 g – 3.5 oz) yarn balls – Color: #8297 (Spring);

US 9 / 5 mm circular bamboo needles with a stainless steel cable (length: 32” / 80 cm);

Círculo latch hook (1 piece);

Círculo tapestry needle;

Colored marker;

Tracing paper;

Pencil;

Scissors;

Measuring tape.

 

YARDAGE:

2, (3, 3, 3), 3, 4 balls of Jeans yarn (100 g / 3.5 oz – 132 yd / 144 m), sample in color 8297 – Spring.

 

STITCHES USED:

·         Stitch pattern (in the round): chart 1

·         Stockinette st. (in the round): [k], to the end of the round.

·         Stockinette st. (flat):

→   R1 (RS): [k], to the end of the row.

→   R2 (WS): [p], to the end of the row. 

·         Garter st. (flat):

→   R1 (RS): [k], to the end of the row.

→   R2 (WS): [k], to the end of the row. 

GAUGE: 

19 sts x 30 = 4″ x 4″ / 10 cm x 10 cm, in flat stockinette stitch after blocking.

·         WS: wrong side,

·         ssk.: slip 1 st. knitwise, knit 1 st., pass the slipped st. over the knitted stitch.

·         k2tog.: knit 2 sts together. 

·         BO.:  bind off

 

Execution


Grace Tank is a relaxed top knitted from the bottom up in the round, divided in front and back after the underarm and straps.

 

PATTERN

CO 160, (180, 200, 220), 240 and 260 sts, close the row and place a BOR marker to work in the round. Work the chart rep (marked in red) 16, (18, 20, 22), 24 and 26 times on every rnd.

 

Work the chart for 66 rnds, 8" / 22 cm, or desired lenght from the hem to the underbust.

 

Continue knitting in the round in st st for about 3.5″ (4.75″, 6.25″, 7.75″), 9.5″, 11″ in. / 9, (12, 14, 16), 18, 20 cm.

 

SEPARATE BACK AND FRONT:

FRONT:

Leave 80, (90, 100, 110), 120, 130 sts for the front and place the other 80, (90, 100, 110), 120 and 130 sts on hold.

 

Now, work the front and back separately in flat rows.

 

R1 (RS): k3, ssk, [k] to 5 sts left on the needle, k2tog, k3.

R2(WS): k3, [p] to last 3 sts, k3.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 more 13 times. 14 times total.

You must have 52, (62, 72, 82), 92, 102 sts on the needle.

Keep working in st st until you reach 16.25″ (17.25″, 18″, 18.75″), 19.75″, 20.5″ in. / 41, (44, 46, 48), 50, 52 cm from the cast on edge, or desired length.

R1 (RS): [k] to the end of the row.

R2 (WS): [k] to the end of the row.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 more 2 times. 3 times total.

 

STRAPS:

R1 (RS): k3, BO 46, (56, 66, 76), 86, 96, k3. Leave the first 3 sts resting.

[R2 (WS): k3.

Repeat Row 2 until your strap measures 10″ / 26 cm. Bind off all stitches.]

Repeat from [to] on the resting sts for the other stripe.

 

BACK:

Repeat the same process of the front and sew the stripes in the first and last 3 sts of the back.

 

FINISHING:

With the tapestry needles weave in your ends, wet block your garment and lay flat to dry.
