Sizing Overview

Materials:

- Yarn: 

- Let It Sock Color 9960 (toe & heel) 

- Let It Sock Color 9534 (foot & leg)

- Needles: 

- Magic Loop: 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle, 32” or longer 

- Two Circulars: Two 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles (24” or 32”) 

- 5 DPN: Set of five 3.5 mm (US 4) double-pointed needles

- Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors

Gauge:- 6 stitches = 1 inch- 7 rows = 1 inch

Magic Loop Method

Toe:

1. With color 9960, cast on 12 sts using Judy’s Magic Cast-On (or Turkish cast-on for DPNs). Distribute evenly per method.

2. Increase to 34 total sts (17 per side for Magic Loop/2 Circs; evenly across 4 DPNs):

   - Round 1: Knit all.

   - Round 2: On each section: K1, M1R, knit to last st, M1L, K1.

   - Repeat until 34 total stitches.

Foot:

3. Switch to color 9534. Knit in the round until foot measures 6.0".

Heel Flap:

4. Switch back to color 9960. Work flat over 17 heel stitches:

   - Row 1 (RS): Slip 1, knit to end

   - Row 2 (WS): Slip 1, purl to end

   - Repeat for 17 rows (~2.5") to form square flap.

Turn Heel:

5. Short rows:

   - Row 1: Knit 9, SSK, turn

   - Row 2: Sl1, purl 6, P2tog, turn

   - Row 3: Sl1, knit to 1 before gap, SSK, turn

   - Row 4: Sl1, purl to 1 before gap, P2tog, turn

   - Continue until all sts are worked (17 sts remain).

Gusset:

6. Pick up 9 sts along each side of the heel flap. Total sts: 34 + 18 = 52.

7. Resume in color 9534. Begin gusset decreases:

   - Round 1: Knit all.

   - Round 2:

     - Gusset side: Knit to 3 before end, K2tog, K1.

     - Instep side: K1, SSK, knit to end.

   - Repeat until back to 34 total sts.

Leg:

8. Work even in stockinette for 3.0".

Cuff:

9. Work 1x1 ribbing (K1, P1) for 1.0". Bind off loosely.

Finishing:

- Weave in ends and block lightly.
