Level of difficulty




SIZE: S, (M, L, XL), 2L and 3L.

BASED ON A BUST SIZE OF:

32–34, (36–38, 40–42, 44–46), 48–50 and 52–54 in /

81-86, (91-96, 101-106, 111-117), 122-127 and 132-137 cm

 

MATERIAL:

SUGGESTED NEEDLE: 

Círculo knitting needles US 11 / 8mm or size needed to achieve gauge.

Círculo circular needle 24 in / 60 cm, 7mm.

YARDAGE:

4, (4, 4, 5), 6 and 6 Círculo Brazilian Merino Sweet (328 yds / 300 m, 3.52 oz / 100 g), sample in color 5007 – Juniper.

1, (1, 1, 1), 2 and 2 Círculo Brazilian Merino Sweet (328 yds / 300 m, 3.52 oz / 100 g), sample in color 8001 – White.

NOTIONS:

·         Measuring Tape.

·         Tapestry needle.

·         Scissors.

 

STITCHES USED:

1/1 Rib Stitch: k1, p1, k1

Stockinette stitch (st st): 

Row 1 (RS): [k].

Row 2 (WS): [p].

Pattern stitch: follow the chart.


Gauge: 15 sts x 13 rows. = 4" x 4" / 10x10 cm in stitch pattern.


ABBREVIATIONS: r.: row, st(s).: stitch(es), k.: knit, p.: purl, RS: right side, WS: wrong side, [...].: repetition, CO.: cast on, BOR.: begining of the round, MC.: main color, CC.: contrast color.


PATTERN

 

FRONT AND BACK ARE WORKED THE SAME:


With larger needles and MC, CO 66, (73, 81, 89), 97, 103 sts.

Work in 1/1 rib st for 4 in / 10 cm from the CO edge.


From now on, work in stitch pattern following the chart while changing colors as it follows:

10 rows in MC, 6 rows in CC, 12 row in MC, 6 rows in CC and 6 rows in MC.


After the stripes, BO 15, (17, 19, 21), 23, 25 central sts for the neckline. Finish each shoulder separately in st st with MC. BO on the neckline side every other row: 4 sts and 3 sts (2 times).


At 17.3, (17.3, 17.3, 18.1), 18.9, 19.7 in / 44, (44, 44, 46), 48, 50 cm from the CO edge, BO all the sts.


Repeat another piece the same.


SLEEVES

With larger needles and MC, CO 53, (57, 61, 65), 73, 79 sts.

Work in 1/1 rib st for 4 in / 10 cm from the CO edge.

 

From now on, work in stitch pattern following the chart while changing colors as it follows, at the same time, BO 1 st at each side every 4 rows (7 times).

8 rows in MC, 6 rows in CC, 10 rows in MC, 6 rows in CC, 12 rows in MC and 6 rows in MC and st st.  At 18.5 inches / 47 cm from the CO edge, BO all the sts.


NECKBAND

Sew the shoulders.

 

With the circular needle and MC, facing RS, pick up and knit 74, (86, 94, 104), 114, 124 sts and work in 1/1 rib st. When the work measures 5.5 in / 14 cm from the pick up row, BO all sts loosely.

 

Fold the neckband in half with the WS facing out and sew the BO row to the beginning of the picked up sts.  Make a light seam to add elasticity to the neckline.


ARMHOLES

With larger needles and CC, pick up and knit 48, (52, 56, 60), 66, 72 sts from the right side of the work along the armholes and knit 2 rows in st st, BO all the sts.

 

Attach the sleeves to the armholes under the CC  stripe in st  st.

Sew the sides and the underarms.

 

FINISHING

 

Weave in all your ends, wet block and lay flat to dry.
