Materials:

•      10 (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) Seaside yarn rolls (1.7 oz) – Color: #6111 (Fervor);

•      Círculo crochet hook – 2.0 mm

•      1 Círculo Maxxi retrós thread – Color: #268 (Passion);

•      Círculo sewing needle – No. 2;

•      Gold metal clasp (0.8” x 0.8” / 2 x 2 cm);

•      Círculo tapestry needle;

•      Fabric for the lining;

•      Tracing paper;

•      Pencil;

•      Scissors;

•      Measuring tape;

•      Sewing machine.

 

Stitch Glossary & Abbreviations:

•      st: stitch

•      sts: stitches

•      sc: single crochet

•      BLsc: back loop single crochet, insert the hook behind the chain formed by the stitch of the previous row.

•      dc: double crochet

Stitch Patterns:

•      Hot pant (1st step): follow diag 1

•      Hot pant (2nd step): follow diag 2

•      Hot pant waistband (3rd step): follow diag 3

•      Between the cups: follow diag 4

•      Cups: follow diag 5

•      Bottom of the cups: follow diag 6

•      Right side of the cup: follow diag 7

•      Left side of the cup: follow diag 8

•      Strap: follow diag 9

 

Pattern Note:

•      The diagrams are drawn for size S, but the positions and number of increase stitches are the same for all sizes. Only the number of foundation stitches changes.

 

Gauge: a 4-inch (10 cm) square in diagram 2, using a 2.0 mm hook = 25 sts. x 14 rows.

 

Instructions:

Transfer the patterns onto tracing paper to use as a reference when making the piece. Pay attention to the arrows in the measurement diagram, which indicate the direction of the work.

 

Hot pant

1st step - Front part: Use a 2.0 mm crochet hook and the Seaside yarn in the color Fervor and start the piece with Ch 11 (12, 13, 14, 15, 16).

1st row: 3 ch, 1 shell, 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) dc, 1 shell, 1 dc.

Follow diag 1 from row 2 to row 18

Then follow side shells on diag 1 from row 19 to row 28 (30, 32, 34, 36, 38).

 

Back part: Start in the same way as the front part.

Join the Seaside yarn in the color Fervor to the foundation chain of the front piece and work following diag 1 with the rows represented in green.

Follow diag 1 from row 2 to row 20

Then follow side shells on diag 1 from row 21 to row 31 (33, 35, 37, 39, 41).

 

Work the entire piece in back-and-forth rows.

 

Note: The shell strip of the front piece and the shell strip of the back piece will be positioned horizontally, forming the side straps of the Hot pants.

 

Assembly of the side straps of the Hot pants: Use the tapestry needle and join the side straps of the front piece with the straps of the back piece using running stitches.

 

2nd step - Upper part of the Hot pant: Join the Seaside yarn in the color Fervor to the upper part of the Hot Pant and work in circular rounds. Use the 2.0 mm crochet hook and follow diag 2

Repeat 25 (28, 30, 33, 35, 37) motifs horizontally and the repeating sts. For 6 (6.2, 6.6, 7, 7.4, 7.8)” / 15 (16, 17, 18, 19, 20) cm.

 

3rd step - Hot Pant waistband: Finish the piece with the waistband following diag 3 with 175 (195, 215, 235, 250, 265) sts and the repeating sts. For 0.8 “ (2 cm). Fasten off.

 

Finish around the leg openings of the Hot pant: Use the 2.0 mm crochet hook and the Seaside yarn in the color Fervor, work one round of sc around the leg openings.

 

Lining: Cut the lining according to the measurements of the Hot Pant. Attach the lining to the piece using a sewing machine and the Maxxi Retrós thread in the color Passion.

 

Top:

Between the cups: Use the 2.0 mm crochet hook and the Seaside yarn in the color Fervor.

Ch 12 (13, 14, 15, 16, 17)

1st row: ch1, 12 (13, 14, 15, 16, 17) sc

Follow diag 4 from row 2 to row 26 (26, 27, 28, 29, 30)

Work in back-and-forth rows.

 

Cups: Join the Seaside yarn in the color Fervor at the sides of the between-the-cups piece and work the right and left cup following diag 5 and the repeat sts. from row 1 to row 21 (22, 24, 25, 26, 28).

 

Bottom of the cups: Work on the bottom of the cups and between-the-cups piece, following diag 6 and the repeat sts from row 1 to row  5.

 

Right side of the cup: Join the yarn on the right side of the cup and work following diag 7 and the repeat sts from row 1 to  row 26 (28, 30, 31, 32, 33).

 

Left side of the cup: Join the yarn on the left side of the cup and work following diag8 and the repeat sts from row 1 to 26 (28, 30, 31, 32, 33).

 

Straps: Join the yarn at the top of each cup and work each strap following diag 9 and the repeat sts from row 1 to row 42 (45, 47, 50, 53, 56).

 

Finish edging around the piece: Surround the entire piece with 1 round of sc

 

Lining: Cut the lining according to the measurements of only the cups and between-the-cups piece. Attach the lining to the piece using the sewing machine and Maxxi Retrós thread in the color Passion. On the sides of the piece, use sewing needle No.2 and attach the clasps.

 

Finishing Notes

    • All measurements in inches are rounded

    • Pattern stitch charts are attached separately

    • For best fit, try on frequently during construction and adjust as needed

    • Yarn is naturally stretchy
