Knitting needles 8

Gauge: 20 sts x 21 rows = 4” /10 cm in Stockinette st using needles 8.

Stitch glossary and abbreviations:

CO: cast on

BO: bind off

rep: repeat

dec: decreases

inc: increases

RS: right side

WS: wrong side

2x2 Rib: Row 1: K2, P2. Row 2 and all other rows: knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches.

Garter Stitch: Knit or purl every row. Every 2 rows = 1 ridge.

Stockinette Stitch: Knit RS rows and Purl WS rows.

Reverse Stockinette Stitch: Purl RS rows and Knit WS rows.

Pattern: 3 rows in Stockinette st, 3 rows in Reverse Stockinette st.

Execution

Back: CO 100 (110, 116, 124, 130, 144) sts onto needles 8 and work in 2x2 Rib for 4.75 in / 12 cm and then follow Pattern.

At 39.25 (40.25, 41, 41,75, 42.5, 43.25) in / 100 (102, 104, 106, 108, 110) cm BO all sts.

Right front: CO 41 (46, 48, 52, 54, 60) sts onto needles 8 and work in 2x2 Rib for 4.75 in / 12 cm.

And then work as follows:

18 (22, 22, 24, 24, 28) sts = 2x2 Rib

and 22 (24, 26, 28, 30, 32) sts = Pattern.

At 39.25 (40.25, 41, 41,75, 42.5, 43.25) in / 100 (102, 104, 106, 108, 110) cm BO all sts.

Left front: CO 41 (46, 48, 52, 54, 60) sts onto needles 8 and work in 2x2 Rib for 4.75 in / 12 cm.

And then work as follows:

22 (24, 26, 28, 30, 32) sts = Pattern

and 18 (22, 22, 24, 24, 28) sts = 2x2 Rib.

At 39.25 (40.25, 41, 41,75, 42.5, 43.25) in / 100 (102, 104, 106, 108, 110) cm BO all sts.

Sleeves (mk 2): CO 40 (40, 40, 42, 44, 46) sts onto needles 8 and work in 2x2 Rib for 4.75 in / 12 cm and then follow Pattern.

Inc on each side, every 4 rows: 1 st 14 (16, 16, 19, 20, 21) times.

At 18.5 (19, 19, 19.75, 20.5, 20.5) in / 47 (48, 48, 50, 52, 52) cm from the beginning BO all sts.

Pocket (mk 2): CO 22 (22, 24, 26, 28, 30) sts onto needles 8 and work in Garter st.

At 4 (4, 4.5, 4.75, 5, 5.5) in / 10 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14) cm from the beginning work in 2x2 Rib.

At 5.5 (5.5, 6, 6.25, 6.5, 7) in / 14 (14, 15, 16, 17, 18) cm BO all sts.

Finishing:

Sew shoulders 8 (9, 9.5, 10.25, 10.75, 11.75) in / 20.5 (23, 24, 26, 27, 30) cm.

Neckline seamless: 3.5 (3.5, 4, 4, 4.25, 4.75) in / 9 (9, 10, 10, 11, 12) cm.

Sew sleeves starting at 6.75 (7, 7, 8, 8.5, 9) in / 17 (18, 18, 20, 21, 22) cm from the seam on both sides. Sew sleeves sides.

Sew pockets onto right & left front, 8.75 (8.75, 9.5, 10.25, 11, 11.75) in / 22 (22, 24, 26, 28, 30) cm from the beginning and 0.5 in / 1,25 cm from sides.
