Circulo Yarns - Sugar Cane 5 [5, 5, 6, 7, 8] hanks - color 7083 (Almond)

Circular needles 7/4.5 mm or size to obtain gauge

Tapestry needle

Measuring tape & scissors

Gauge: 21 Sts x 23 Rows = 4"/10 cm over Moss Stitch pattern using needles 7/4.5 mm.

Stitch glossary and abbreviations:

•        st/sts: stitches

•        CO: cast on

•        BO: bind off

•        rep: repeat

•        mk: make

•        dec: decreases

•        inc: increases

•        RS: right side

•        WS: wrong side

•        K: knit

•        P: purl

•        garter stitch: Knit or purl every

•        row. Every 2 rows = 1 ridge.

 

Moss Stitch Pattern for Body

Row 1: p2, [k2, p2] across.

Row 2 and all even rows: knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches.

Row 3: k2, [p2, k2] across.

Rep Rows 1-4 for pattern.

CO 90 [102, 110, 122, 130, 140] sts onto needles 7/4.5 mm.

Rows 1 & 2: Garter st.

Work in Moss Stitch Pattern until piece measures 11 [11, 10.75, 10.25, 10.25, 10.25]" from beginning and start armhole shaping:

BO at beg of row 4 [5, 6, 6, 6, 7] sts 2 times.

BO at beg of row 3 [3, 5, 5, 5, 6] sts 2 [4, 2, 4, 4, 4] times.

Dec 2 sts on each side every 2 rows 1 [1, 2, 1, 2, 2] time(s). 72 [76, 80, 86, 90, 94] sts

When piece measures 16.75 [17.25, 17.5, 17.75, 18, 18.25]” from beginning start neckline shaping:

BO the 20 [22, 28, 34, 38, 42] center sts and finish sides separately.

26 [27, 26, 26, 26, 26] sts on each side

BO at neckline edge 4 sts every 2 rows 1 time.

BO at neckline edge 3 sts every 2 rows 1 time.

Dec 2 sts on neckline edge every 2 rows 1 time. 17 [18, 17, 17, 17, 17] sts

Divide sts in half and finish sides separately.

Right Neckline Continuation:

Working the 3 sts at neckline edge in Garter st and the remaining sts in Moss Stitch Pattern.

Dec on the neckline side after the 3 sts in Garter st as follows:

Dec 2 sts every 2 rows 3 [3, 5, 5, 6, 6] times.

Dec 1 st every 2 rows 10 [10, 8, 10, 10, 10] times. 20 [22, 22, 23, 23, 25] sts

Work even in established pattern until piece measures 18 [18.5, 18.75, 19, 19.25, 19.75]".

BO sts in Moss Stitch Pattern and continue working in Garter st on remaining sts until Garter strip measures half of back neck width. BO.

 

Sleeves (make 2)

Rows 1 & 2 : Garter st.

Work in Moss Stitch pattern until piece measures 2.75 [2.75, 2.75, 3, 3, 3]" from beginning and start sleeve cap shaping:

BO at beg of row 4 [6, 6, 7, 8, 9] sts 2 times.

BO at beg of row 3 [4, 5, 6, 7, 8] sts 2 [4, 2, 4, 2, 2] times.

Dec 2 sts on each side every 2 rows 1 [1, 2, 2, 2, 1] time(s).

Dec 2 sts each side every 2 [2, 3, 5, 3, 2] rows 7 [4, 5, 2, 5, 6] times. 10 [12, 14, 14, 14, 14] sts

Work even in established pattern if necessary until piece measures 4.5 [4.75, 5.5, 5.75, 6, 6]" from beginning of sleeve cap shaping. BO.

 

Assembly and finishing

Sew shoulders. Sew Garter st neckline strap onto back neckline.

Sew sleeves to body.

Sew underarm seam .
