Stitches used
Broken rib: 1st and all odd rows: k1, p1, k1. 2nd and all even rows: p all sts.
Gauge – 10x10 cm square in broken rib, using 4.5 mm needles = 21 sts x 24 rows.
Execution – Back- cast-on 91 sts on the 4.5 needles and work in broken rib, following the instructions. When the piece measures 35 cm from the cast-on edge, work as follows for the armholes: p2, k2, 83 sts in broken rib, k2, p2. Make 1 decrease 4 sts away from each edge, every 2nd row (21 times in total). Make the decreases on the left edge (when worn) with an SSK (slip 2 sts knitwise, place them back on the left needle, k2togtbl) and the ones on the right (when worn) with a k2tog. Bind-off all sts when the piece measures 55 cm from the cast-on edge.
Front- work like the front until the piece measures 39 cm from the beginning of the work. Then, to start shaping the neckline, bind-off the middle st and work on each side separately.
Right side - k2, p2 on the edges and work the rest of the panel in broken rib. Make 1 decrease 4 sts away from each edge, every 2nd row (17 times in total). Bind-off all the remaining stitches when the piece measures 55 cm from the beginning.
Left side – repeat the instructions for the right side.
Finishing – Seam the shoulders and sides of the body.
